Likes
- Campus is great. It has lot of grenery around. There are dedicated buildings for each branch.
- Labs are well equipped. There are some equipments that are out of date. But all labs have ACs
- The library has all books and guides available. One can access them at any time.
Dislikes
- The course is very outdated, it is not useful in present day industry.
- The students are all from different background and it makes it very difficult to socialize
- The fests are okayish not very great. Only the technical clubs are good.
Course Curriculum Overview
The curriculum is very outdated, it is not at all in touch with industry. Though the subjects taught are relevant to out branch, we are not told how to appropriately use them in companies. One has to do internship to get such knowledge. The exams are average difficulty, and one can score easily by studying the day before.
Placement Experience
Placements begin from end of third year. Our training and placement office is very supportive and resourceful and provides with various company applications. Most if the time companies place there own conditions of who all can sit in their placement. Usually it includes of no active backlog and gpa above 7.0. The average package is 8 lakh and highest is 48 lakh per annum.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees around is very moderate. Around 1 lakh rupees per year. As the college is affiliated to AKTU, there is no sudden hike in fees. Scholarships are often provided to state toppers, army kids, ews students and kids of government officials.
Campus Life
One fest occurs annually. And other small events occur around the year. There are about 24 societies, both technical and non technical. Sports is highly valued and all kinds of sports such as volleyball, kabadi, badminton etc are played.
Admission
I gave the JEE paper to get into UPTU counselling. The cut off for cse here is till rank of 50k. And that of civil goes upto 120000. JEE takes place twice a year and anyone can give the paper if they have 75% aggregate in class 12.
Faculty
There are different teachers for different subjects. All faculty have PHDs in their respective fields. They are all very knowledgeable and helpful. They are also very approachable. They also provide with suitable coursework.
