Course Curriculum Overview
It's not at all good. Very old useless curriculum. Exams happen approximately one every two months. Teachers should focus on practical approach than rote learning. They give useless assignments. They should allow laptops to class for programming subjects, but they don't.
Placement Experience
From 7th semester. Number of companies are 30 and number of offers are 500 with TCS giving most of the offers. Highest package is 22 lakhs and average is 3 and median is 2.5 Not really good placements considering the fees paid.
Fees and Financial Aid
Tuition fee is mentioned during admission and fees are same for the 4 years. Complete cost of education will be 5,00,000. No scholarships are provided. However one can apply for the state scholarship if he is of a specific caste or low income. Campus employment is non existent.
Campus Life
There are multiple technical fests and one yearly fest with many competitions. But if one knows the basics, you'll find the competitions too easy. Books and journals are very good. There is a huge number and new books are added. Sports is supported. Student run groups and clubs don't exist.
Admission
I opted for this college because of my KCET rank. I wasn't eligible for any other good college. Eligibility: Pass class 12 KCET: Admission here was via KCET No other exam apart from KCET was required.
Faculty
Teachers are always approachable. Teachers have masters or PhD in their fields Credentials are good, but most of them don't know how to teach. It's one thing to know the concept, and another to teach. 1:25 faculty student ratio.
