(Chandigarh University) Expectations Reality

The course subjects are irrelevant. Instead of mastering one tech, they just teach every tech like web development, android development, flutter, and machine learning. But in campus placement, you just need to master one tech because all companies hire for one tech. that's why the curriculum is not very good. There teaching methods are also not good. they just come and read the ppt in front of you and leave.

There is no internship opportunity. All companies come here for full time. Even colleges are not allowing students for internships. You can get an internship from off campus. If you get a good salary for in internship you can submit an internship letter to the university and you will be free from exams, you just need to give viva and the questions will be asked about your internship.

In the last semester, you are eligible for placements. 150+ companies are coming, The average package is 7LPA. The companies from Microsoft to Accenture and TCS are all service-based companies that come here. The highest package is 25LPA. one of my friends got his offer of 25LPA from JP Morgan. The percentage of students who are placed is 30% to 40%. In their ADs are say 100% placement, all of this is fake

The fee is 56000 till 2023 which is now increased and every semester fees remain the same. You can avail of the scholarship by taking the CUCET exam which is held in online mode and has MCQ questions, according to your score on the CUCET exam, you can get a 10% to 100% scholarship. If you get 75% or above marks every semester then your scholarship will be continued otherwise your scholarship will be discarded. There is no employment in campus for students.

The campus life is very good. There are students from almost every state. They are very helpful and kind in nature. There are very festivals, almost every celebrity comes here to promote their movies and songs. From Punjabi movies to Bollywood movies.

If you have at least 60% in graduation you can easily get admission. The admission process the very simple you can visit the CU website get the number of their staff and book your seat from your home by paying 5000 as a minimum amount. Send the photographs to the staff they will confirm your admission. All admission-related detailed can find in the website or you can ask the staff they will provide you with the details. There is also reservation for OBC, SC and ST etc. you can get the details in their website. In every six months there is one exam.

For 80 students there is only one faculty. For every subject, there are different teachers and they are not good in terms of knowledge, they just come and read the ppt. also get lots of assignments, if you do not complete them in time they will give less marks if internal which is of 30% of overall. Which means your 30% marks are in their hands. Some of the faculties are good and friendly in nature but most of them will become rude after 1 - 2 semesters. because after 1 and 2 semesters you cannot leave the college.
