Likes

There are many associations in the college that one can freely join in. The recruitment in these associations starts from 1st year itself and they give u a brief about it.
Good faculty in thé economics department. And they are well experienced and very friendly and approachable
Diversity . People from different backgrounds and places come together and they all have their own representation in the college through various associations

Dislikes

The crowd is not that great when it comes to the students but once you find some good people you will survive as the college is peaceful
Some of the other departments have bad faculty

Course Curriculum Overview

The curriculum is a little outdated and basic. We learn the same thing in our 11th and 12th so it is just adding a few more points to the things we already studied or like brushing it up. The curriculum does not really prepares you for the real world applications as it is fully theory. The teaching methods are mainly reading from the ppts which is not very useful and the timings for the exams are perfect with perfect intervals

Class Size: 60Course Fees: INR 55000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

The tuition fee is 55k for 1st year 52 for the second year and 3rd year is not out yet. I don’t know much about the scholarship programs or financial aids. And I have also not taken up any employment roles in my college

Campus Life

The programs are a little less and the activities that happen in one department is not very well known to the other departments so there is no much unity as a university. But there is enough engagement happening inside college

Admission

It is one of the oldest colleges in Bangalore and maybe in India and it has got abreast reputation all over the world. Some of the best alumni’s. This college also have some of the best faculty in the country and as it is located in Bangalore the diversity exposure and crowd was said to be great.

The student faculty ratio in my department would be around 60 to 1 but as my course is mainly theory it works well. The faculty is quite good and approachable. And it mainly depends upon certain teachers but most of them are very friendly

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose this course because of the dual degree that it has to offer, christ is one of the very few institutions that offer dual degree and allow you to explore both the subjects or gain combined knowledge of both the subjects. The curriculum is very up to date with subjects that relate to real world problems. What i like the most about my curriculum is the Learner centric approach where they divide the class into halves so that the teacher student ratio can be maintained in order to achieve full efficiency. One area of improvement can be inculcating more soft skills traininng into it.

A good college for starting your new journey

Placement Experience:

The students are eligible to sit for placement in their final years. The companies which comes for the placement are deloitte, goldmanSachs, amazon and many more reputed companies. And they do make many offers. The highest package reports around 30 LPA and the average goes on around 3 to 4.5 LPA. Around 70-90 percent get placements. My plans is to pursue higher studies.

St claret - an honest review

Placement Experience:

Placements are good. Students arw given chances to take exams and get job opportunities from there. Field trips and internships, orientations, talk shows are organized to prepare students further before stepping out for jobs. They can either take the placements they get or opt for higher studies, which is what i am doing as a degree in psychology alone does not grant a wide scope in the jobs spectrum.

Placement Experience:

The placement training is providing by the college. And placement is also there. Ey, Deloitte, others companies also come to the college for the placement. The average package the company's provide is 7 lakh per annum. They 75% of students how are applied for the placement are getting the jobs. My plans after the degree is to go for higher studies.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for campus placements towards the final semester of their course. Currently, I have only been using the help of my faculty for internship opportunities, since I am not looking for placements. But they have connections with big names in the communication sector, and they often have personalities coming in to give talks and interact with the students. A great number of students opt for placements and approximately 90% of them do end up getting posted at really good companies. Others choose to continue with higher education. My plan after receiving my degree would be to take up a diploma in literature in the UK, while simultaneously finding myself a position at a good publishing house there.

My college experience

Placement Experience:

From my seniors, I hear that 20/30 % of students from our college get placed. But now being in my final sem I know the reality. For covid and lockdown, the placement sector has been badly hit. Only a handful of companies came this year (5/6 companies). 4/5 people from our batch are placed but no placement for the big chunk of people. From 5th sem students become eligible for placements but in 5th sem, no company came to our college for placement this year. Only in the 6th sem, the placement cell started. Companies that visited till now ( some of them came to take interns and didn't offer full-time jobs) 1) Clevertize, 2) Social Panga, 3) Robert Bosch GmbH, 4) Saatchi & Saatchi, 5) Publicis, 6)PR Pundit, 7) McKinsey, 8) Edsol Edtech, 9) Momo Media, 10) MSL, 11) Genesis BC, Offers: 1.5-3 LPA (average). I plan to send CVs personally to companies through LINKEDIN and other job search platforms because the college hasn't provided us with good placement offers as claimed.
