Course Curriculum Overview

We got multiple subject to choose and they never disappoint us. Application to apply for courses is really easy. There websites are very easy to filling up the forms. The only thing which was disappointed me is Course fees.

Class Size: 3Course Fees: INR 18000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

As I experienced, according to other college's fee structure. Our college's fees are much more! Like 200-800 INR extra than other colleges. But a good thing too is the scholarship, here we can achieve scholarship according to profile. For example, there is scholarship named 'Swami Vivekananda Scholarship' which can be obtained if you have scored 60% or above in the HS(12th) exam. No there is no facility for employment opportunity.

Campus Life

There are two annual festivals happening in our college. 1) The sports festival. 2) Annually festival. Yeah there are accessible books in library, and journals also available. Yeah all the things in classrooms are really good enough. Yeah there are sports held by college annually. Yeah social groups available, student portals available.

Admission

Eligibility for the B.A. GENERAL course is nothing. You just need to passout 12th. But if you want some greater courses like, Bsc, honours then yes there are some criteria to fulfill. Exams are happening in every 6 months. But sometimes because of some issues, exams delayed by 1-2 month.(Exams are under The University of Burdwan) No improvement needs for admission process. That's pretty good.

Faculty

Yes there is enough faculty according to students. I am really helpful with the teachers, they are too good. All the teachers really great by mentorship. They taught us good things, they motivated us alot. Yeah we can interact with the teachers all the times with mobile phone and also when they are in college, they really behave friendly with us.

I want to know bengali literature and all type of poems and proses that's why I choose B.a. in bengali literature. According to me, my course helps me in doing Masters in Bengali. From the point of view of improvements, I feel that digital classes can be conducted in the class by leaving the theory classes. We were held a class for upto 1hrs, thus we had 4 class a day. Sometimes it is boaring sometimes it becomes striking, it depends on the mood. It is to say little knowledge is a dangerous thing, if you don't read you cannot pass the semester examination. Although it will provide you a second chance. But with change of syllabus the exam pattern also change. You need to attain a total percentage of 75(%) to maintain you honours subject otherwise you would be regarded as programme course student.

Presidency University: A hope of light but needs a lot of upgradation

Course Curriculum Overview:

The Department of Bengali is one of the oldest Bengali department in the state. It offers undergraduate honours and postgraduate courses. Recently, they have started PhD courses as well. The Bengali department is actively engaged in research in hot topics in literature. The curriculam of Presidency university is most diverse among all other University, colleges in the state. It begins with very basic topics at the first year and ends with very specific research level papers at the final year. The syllabus is so advance that bachelors students can compare themselves with the masters level students after completeing the course. I will mention the bachelor course curriculam in summary: Semester I- Prachin Bangla Sahitya O Bangalir Itihas sandhan, Bangla bhasar itihas o bhasatotto, Semester II- Prak chaitanya juger bangla sahityer itihas, Madhyajuger bangla sahityer itihas o kabyapath, Semester III- Shorosh o soptodosh shotabdir samaj: itihas o chaitanyadeb, Ashtadosh shatabdir samaj sangkriti, changa-alanlkar o prof sangsodhan, Semester IV- Adhunik juger udbhab, gadya o probondho sahitya, kabya-kabitae itihas, natoker itihas o rupbhed, Semester V- Bangla Upanyas, Bangla chotogolpo, Rabindranath, Semester VI- Unish o Bish shataker bangla samaj songskriti o sahitya, bhinna bhasar sahityer itihas o tar obhighat, bharatiya alangkar shatra, sahitya o shilpo. Other than these compulsory courses, there are lot of exceptional elective courses that attracted me more towards joining this prestigious university. Since Presidency University select specific students through their difficult entrance tests, the semester exams should not be difficult for the students, but there are some papers in the course which needs to delt with extra care and attention to get extra marks.

The Honest statements about Burdwan Raj College.

1. I also applied for Bishnupur Ramananda college and I also got a seat there but i choose this college because of it's NAAC grading which is B++ ,but the system and universities pressure are on another level than that college. 2. I also applied to some well known colleges but i couldn't make it cause I had science stream in +2, which is a lot disadvantage and also I don't had very good marks in my +2. 3. The admission process is totally Merit base , like they will qualify you by checking your marksheet of +2 and they'll give you merit score and by that you can get an admission but the registration method is so much time holding which i discussed before....Read More
