Likes

The faculty is experienced and good and provide mentorship and guidance.
The academic curriculum is based on the the industrial needs which sets up a good base for industrial education.

Dislikes

The location of campus is a bit on a lower side.
The lack of histel in east campus is issue and the girls hostel is under development

The course curriculum is good with hands on lab experience with every course. The exams are taken on decent intervals with major exams bein mid sem and end sems. The course curriculum is aligned to industrial needs so enhancing the preparation for real world needs.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure at NSUT East Campus is subject to annual increases of around 4-5% To help manage these costs, NSUT East Campus offers financial assistance programs for students from SC, ST, OBC, and EWS backgrounds. Additionally, there are various government scholarships available, and students can explore education loan options through SBI.

Campus Life

The campus life is overall great. There are two cultural fests named resonanz and moksha. resonanz is organized only for nsut students and moksha is organized fir all colleges students. there is also tech fest. the societies are great and societal events are organized in regular intervals.

Admission

Admission process is based on mains rank which takes place through jac delhi. after completion of certain number of rounds, vacant seats are filled through spot rounds which is based on first come first serve basis. There are reservation present for sc st and obc and ews. 85% of seats are reserved for delhi students and other 15% are present for students from other parts of india.

Faculty

The faculty has got good study background with decent student to faculty ratio. faculty is open about reseatch oppurtunites with the students and also guides them for their projects. It is easy to interact with the faculty as they are open to students.

From Classrooms to Campus ; my dtu journey

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would say the course curriculum at DTU is quite relevant and comprehensive. The reason I chose this course was the mix of strong fundamentals in the first year—like Maths, Physics, Chemistry, and Programming—followed by department-specific core and elective courses that allow some flexibility and specialization. The curriculum gives a solid foundation for both real-world applications and further studies, especially through hands-on projects and lab work. That said, some areas could be improved, like including more industry exposure, internships, and practical case studies to bridge theory and real-world problems. Exams happen twice a semester (mid-terms and end-terms) and include assignments and projects as part of evaluation. While most exams are manageable if you keep up with the coursework, a few subjects can be challenging, and preparation is key to avoid surprises.

NIT Delhi: A Balanced Blend of Academics, Opportunities, and Campus Life

Placement Experience:

The annual placements at NIT Delhi are consistently getting better year by year where the top branches such as CSE, ECE, and IT are leading the way with their strong placement rates. Many students get hired at very attractive salaries by well-established companies like TCS, Infosys, Cognizant, Microsoft, and Amazon. For example, the CTC of the best offers have reached as high as ?15–20 LPA in some instances. The Mechanical, Civil, and Electrical branches also contribute to the university’s overall placement record to some extent. Those students usually boost the available opportunities for themselves by taking up internships and off-campus offers. Moreover, the students who fail to get a job on the campus can still benefit out of the college atmosphere where the strong basics of coding, projects, and practical skills are taught which makes the students quite employable at startups, off-campus, or even when going for higher studies like M.Tech/GATE/abroad. To sum up, NIT Delhi is a very solid foundation for the students whether they want to have a career or continue with their education.

Great Placements but Campus needs improvements

Placement Experience:

After 3rd year students become eligible for campus placements. Almost 90% students gets placed. The top companies are Amazon, Apple, Microsoft, Google and Adobe. The highest package is 53 lacks and the average package is 20 lacs. I plan to become a software engineer after i complete my course or study further.

A decent college

Placement Experience:

Placements are good. Students get hired, obviously, and they get a decent package. Highest package from our college is 52 LPA. Average package is 7-8 LPA. Highest package off campus is 1.2 Cr. Per annum.
