The course of the Government College of Engineering Amravati is designed in such a way that it includes overall knowledge of engineering. Since the college has autonomy, it may design the course as per future requirements.

A student is said to be eligible for the internship during his/her second year. But it becomes mandatory during the third year. Although there are many companies offering internships, the candidate has to have a strong resume to grab the opportunity.

Students become eligible for campus placements after their sixth semester or during the start of the seventh semester. The major recruiter position is held by TCS. Some other recruiter companies are L&T, Infosys, Adani Group, Wipro, Mahindra, etc. The packages differ according to the company's requirements and the skill set of the candidate, average being 5.5lpa.

The fees of the general category are mentioned as nearly about 85,000. The tuition fees waiver scheme makes it reduced to 76,000. The fee for OBC students in this college is 44,660 while for the Scheduled caste and Scheduled Tribes candidates, it sums up to 4,810

The annual cultural event ZENITH marks an overwhelming experience. The technical event of GCOEA, i.e., PRAJWALAN is said to be central India's biggest technical event. Both these events take place during March and April respectively. There is a huge central library that carries all the books an engineering student requires for graduation. It is also equipped with computers to get some online aid. To support the students in sports, there is a series of games held as the famous Kalpana Chawla Trophy including games like carrom, chess, cricket, kho-kho, badminton, football, volleyball, handball, basketball, dodgeball, etc.

There are two hostels for boys 1) AICTE & 2) New Boys Hostel. AICTE Boys Hostel is for OMS candidates and PWD candidates. I am admitted to the New Boys hostel. This hostel room has space for accommodation of 3 people with a common rack and a bed, table and chair for each one. The mess of both the hostels is common. It has a good quality meal. The registration process invites 150 hostel fees through SBI Collect, 4000 as maintenance charges, and the meal is 1900 per month.

To be eligible for admission, the candidate must have appeared for the PCM MHT-CET exam mandatorily. The seats are allotted in different branches according to the categories of the candidates. All the details required are available on the official websites. The mode of payment is to be followed as stated in the circular very strictly.
