The Honest Review Of IIT Mandi

The curriculum is quite good . It is very relevant like we have course on thermodynamics, rigid body mechanics which is useful in mechanical engineering and there are also robotics course for all branches so that every one can know the basics of robotics . There are coding courses for everyone so that everyone can know tech field Also there are extra curricular courses which are very relevant to our daily life like Language speaking courses like french , German , english . Also our college has started have semester exchange facility available to foreign colleges.

Companies like Microsoft, Amazon, Tata provide internship opportunity for software developer and mechanical engineering roles . Till now I don't know much about internship opportunity but it is decent as told by seniors. Also we have projects like Mars Rover for university rover challenge , Uncycle , supra (car) made by our students to got recognise in World wide competition.

I think tuition fees is quite high . It should be less as it is goverment institution. Not only this college but all IIT's . My overall tution fees is 960000 for all 4 years and almost 2 lakh hostel fees. But good thing is that College provides scholarship for economically backward students . Campus placement is also good. , student secure a decent placement from there . Also you can secure high paying job if you have good skills in your respected domain.

The name of our annual technical fest is Miraj . It is held in the month of March or April and It is not so good fest comparing to other 2nd generation IITs. There are many clubs in our college for respected branch but there is no branch criteria for joining them , we can join any club we finding intresting.The library is quite decent. There are not so many books . Sometimes there are no books left if a bunch of students issue them . The sports facilities is also good but not better than other other 2nd generation IITs like IIT Indore , Gandhinagar , Hyderabad. Al our social and technical clubs are run by students . They are very helpful . We learnt a lot from the sessions organised by them .Classrooms are excellent with good technologies and very clean and supervised.

The hostel facilities are excellent . The rooms are very nice , bathrooms ar very nice, we got refrigerator for our hostel , microwave for each floor , iron , and sports equipment for our hostel students . Also Telivision and Sports facilities like table tennis is available inside our hostel.Talking about our mess that is meal quality, it is nice , we got meal 4 times a day , very good and properly cooked breakfast . We have authority to choose between veg and non veg mess . Also we got special dinner once in month and on special occasions . There is not such city near our colleges also our college have compulsory rule of staying in hostels . So one can rent room in locality.

The admission process was through Jee Advanced exam held for qualified candidates of Jee main exam . Overall admission process was good , I didn't find any difficulties in it . The eligibility for the course is that you should have qualified jee advanced exam , come under the required rank for college . The admission details can be done through Jossa site . The exam are held in 2 month frequency midsem and end sem respectively . A semester is of 4-4.5 months then we got the semester breaks . In improvement of admission process incan tell that website should be responsive of Jossa , as it hangs whenn many people comes together in it for result of counselling process . Also it should also contain information about the collges with their facilities they provide and the counselling process should be little bit faster.

Tha faculty members are very good. They interact quite well and very supportive in research and other activities. They also supports our students club activities for tech enhancement also they supports us in sports activities. They are highly qualified , writter of many good engineering books. They published many research papers .
