Course Curriculum Overview

1

The course curriculum is as per UGC guidelines. The syllabus is almost the same as other central colleges. However, the course is not much directed to industry needs. You have to prepare separately for placements. Exams are conducted as per the academic calendar- 2 class tests, 2 semester exams, quizzes, assignments, projects/presentations.

Placement Experience

0.5

As of last year, most of the students who applied for campus placement got placed but with an average ctc of rs 5 lakh/annum. The companies visited include Adani Port, Adani gas, Torrent Power, and other companies. The highest package was rs 15 lakh. Generally, most students from here prepare for entrances like a gate, toefl, cat, etc for admission in masters.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees you pay in sem1 will remain the same till semester 8. For example, the 2022 batch has to pay 72000/ sem as tuition fees for 4 years. In 2023, they hiked fees to 80000/ sem, but it applies to new admissions only. Hostel fees is 20000/ sem, mess is 185/day, and other fees like stationary, medical, and examination total 2000.

Campus Life

0.5

There is only one 11-story building on a small 5-acre campus for the college. The new hostel is being built separately on a different piece of land. The classrooms are well equipped with ac, a projector, good seating arrangements, fans, and a whiteboard. All washrooms are cleared daily. Regarding sports, kabbadi is organized in the college garden, for cricket they rent some land for a few days, for badminton, they rent an indoor facility. There are clubs like Davayta social group, Coding Club, avish, ssip, and drone clubs however all are in very early stages.

Hostel Facilities

0.5

There is no permanent hostel to date. For 1st year boys and all girls, they have rented amc buildings. For other students, living accommodation is made available 10 km away from the college, They provide bus services to get there. The mess menu includes items varying from south Indian to Gujarati and north Indian. They update the menu every 2 months, however, most of the items remain the same like idli, dosa, uttapam, puri sabji, halwa, samosa, poha, thepla, chewable, daal, roti seasonal veg, lassi, church, papad, salad, curd, etc.

Admission

The admission is done via ACPC and jee mains exam. For 50% of seats, ACPC counseling is done for Gujrati aspirants. For the rest seats, Joosa and csab counseling are used. Reservation is based on caste and domicile. Exams are of the same difficulty levels as taught in classes.

Faculty

2

All faculties are Ph.D. degree holders, they are highly educated and have very good research experience. They teach using PPT in classrooms on projectors, and after that tutorial practice sessions are done. After lunch, time slot is alloted for labs, generally 2-3 hours. They are easily approachable, anyone can visit them.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is well structured and covers all the basic and important subjects related to the field. This course includes both theoretical and practical subjects which influenced my decision to choose it. The syllabus helps in building strong fundamentals, but it is still more theory-oriented and less industry-focused. It prepares students for exams and higher studies, but for real-world skills, students need to do extra courses and self-practice. The exams are conducted every semester along with internal tests and are moderate in difficulty level. If a student studies regularly, the exams are not very difficult to clear. The curriculum should be updated more frequently and more practical, project-based and industry-related topics should be added.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The overall curriculum is well structured and understandable for almost everyone. The curriculum is somewhat old now, so when the things come to real world applications, the college lacks there. Some improvements like newer curriculum fixes, latest trend studies, addition of subjects related to recent trends and patterns are becoming mandatory now.
