Course Curriculum Overview
My course is BSc Statistics hons., so it's a difficult course and the exams are really difficult. Therefore, Teachers warn students that they can't pass the exam without paying attention to their studies. In fact, those students who score above 90% in CBSE exams find it very challenging to score decent marks. The course curriculum is really good.
Internships Opportunities
There are at least 29 companies that provide internships in internship fairs. These companies' roles usually include content writing, business analysis, marketing, corporate sales, content creation, HR, etc. The companies' names are Dugain Enterprises, TheTalkX, and several others.
Placement Experience
From the fifth semester students are eligible for campus placements. Very renowned companies hire students from our college such as DE Shaw, Deloitte, Bain, KPMG, EY, etc. The highest package in our campus is 21 LPA from DE Shaw and the average package is 5.6 LPA. I am thinking of finding my career in the data science world.
Fees and Financial Aid
I have never seen any campus employment opportunities but Delhi University provides scholarships. The complete cost is around Rs 24000 per year including examination fees and excluding hostel fees. Also, the college tution fees are really lower compared to other colleges.
Campus Life
In my college, there are around 35 to 40 societies. Every department has its own society and there are other societies in photography, filmmaking, dancing, singing, finance-related, English and Hindi debating society, the data science society, enactus, 180DC, etc. You can gain very crucial skills from these societies which makes you job-ready for the corporate world. Sports and extracurricular activities are also great. Very successful players such as Rishabh Pant have studied at this college.
Admission
The admission process is a tedious task. You have to fill out the form and preference sheets. You need to wait for at least 1 month. There are reservation benefits for SC, ST, and EWS students. The difficulty level of exams depends upon the courses they opt for and exams are held two times a year after the end of each semester.
Faculty
Faculty is enough for teaching every student and we can approach them anytime. They are really good mentors who consider your needs, and situations and guide you on the right track. They also offer you suggestions and warnings about mistakes that a fresher usually makes.
