Course Curriculum Overview

3

The courses are mostly complete and satisfactory. The prices are also reasonable for one of the top colleges in Shillong, if not the North East. However the curriculum is a bit extra in my opinion. The Sec, Mdc and Vac courses all have their uses but their use is made negligible as they just add to the workload of the students which makes them a burden to study apart from our major and minor subjects.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees for the courses are reasonable considering you are in one of the best colleges in Shillong, if not the North East. However more scholarship and financial aid benefits have to be introduced in my opinion.

Campus Life

4.5

Campus life is really awesome and fun and interactive with all the students interacting with one another. The library also has a huge amount of books if you are an ardent reader. The sports and extracurriculsr activitiea are also very fun, especially during events like College week and others. The college is very multilingual as you can see students from all across the country, especially the North East.

Admission

The eligibility of the course came down to percentages. I got 91 in my Higher secondary exams and the cutoff was 90. The application form could be acquired from the college or the online College site. Other information regarding the college can also be availed from both these sources. The timing of exams are also reasonable except for last year (2023) due to the application of the new education policy which made the whole timetable a bit late.

Faculty

3

The teachera and faculty members are available most of the times so that's a good thing. However the teaching is the same as high school level even with the new education policy system. This is a huge upset as i was hoping there'd be more interactive classes.

Other Applied Colleges

St Anthony's College | Bachelor of Arts [BA] {Hons.} (Political Science)

I preferred St Edmund's to St Anthony's.

St Stephen's College | Bachelor of Arts [BA]

I was unable to give CUET due to the ongoing crisis in Manipur.

The course is quite vast. But it only consisted of three subjects for my batch before NEP. We only have Western music, Hindustani classical music and regional music. But courses with NEP has a lot. And not just focuses on music but extras too.

Course Curriculum Overview:

i've always had a passion for literature and it's musings so i guess english has always been close to home and my intellect. The curriculum makes me well known to the real world. There aren't any necessary improvements as per my perspective. The level of difficulty is moderate except it prepares every student to get out of one's comfort zone

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would rate an 8 because curriculum is essential to guide teachers in what to teach, how much depth of knowledge is needed for the grade and a timeline to follow so the syllabus will be completed. Curriculum needs to focus on what you can do with information

Remarks:

The college needs to work out a bit and have an accommodation for outstation students. That way, more students will be interested to study in the college. They should try their best to have it in the college.

Students take admission so as to get good placements. However, this college doesn't really have that option and so it needs to improve in that aspect as it'll ultimately give name to the college and also its alumnis.
