Remarks

College management is good except for the increase in college fees.

Entrance Preview

Because it is a government college and near for me from my hometown. This college is also one of the best colleges in vidhraba region. And one more reason was it is an autonomous institute. This institute had a branch which I wanted to take admission in.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

College curriculum is good enough to give new upcoming engineering students with a plenty of knowledge needed to implement new ideas in industries and to understand the real engineering world problems. The curriculum covers all the necessary topics to keep pace with the changing work environments. I will assess 7 out of 10 points for the curriculum.

Internships Opportunities

There is no special Internship program. But the postgraduate students get the stipend for the post graduation. They get nearly 12000 per month.

Placement Experience

3

There are a lot of placements and job opportunities. The college does a lot for the placement opportunities but the placement of an individual depends on his own performance in the selection process. Placement for the nonsoftware branches is not that good.

College Events

3.5

There are many Events celebrated in the college. the major one is alumni meet in which we get the Chance the meet 25 years past batch and learn from their experiences. Prajvalan is a tech-fest celebrated in our college. This includes all the college In Amravati. Also, many colleges across the vidhraba participate in this festival. Zenith is the annual college gathering.

Fee Structure And Facilities

As far as the government colleges are concerned the fees structure of this college is somewhat expensive. The total fees at my time were 48830(OBC) and each year the increment of 5000 is continued. The current user fees for freshers has been met the number of 62000. For OBC candidates. The open candidates had to pay nearly 15-20 thousands more.

Fees and Financial Aid

All the government scholarship are facilitated by the college. The special scholarship called alumni scholarship is there for economically weak students.

Campus Life

3

Campus life is much excitement. All the sports activities are students conducted. Every year a long-lasting tournament is arranged for all the sports lovers. There are a variety of sports included in this. The robotics forum is there. Every year the college participate in different robotics related computations.

Hostel Facilities

3

Hostels at the government college of engineering Amravati are not good as one would expect. But one new hostel now opened for the students which are having good facilities. The admission fees of hostels are quite affordable with only a 150 RS for reservations category and 650 for open category.

Alumni/Alumna

The alumni network is very good.in fact, many times after a alumni meet some of the senior come forward and helps openheartedly for the placements. Some senior from last 25- 30 years come with job offers in their own companies.

Exam Structure

Exam structure is semester type There are 3 exams each semester. There are two unit tests and one final end semester exam. The two unit test is 15 marks each The end semester exam is out of 60 marks. 10 marks are teacher assessment marks and depend on overall performance throughout the semester. The passing marks are 40 out of 100.

Admission

I got the admission in government college of engineering Amravati through cap allotment through government seats. My admission is on the basis of the OBC category. I had to pay 48830Rs for the admission fees. The complete admissions process was online and admission was on the basis of composite score of JEE and 12 percentage

Faculty

3.5

All the staff is highly qualified and helpful. Mostly every teacher in the college has completed Ph.D. excluding the few exceptions. Every staff members are helpful for queries and encourage for the projects and seminars. I will give 7 out of 10 points

Course Curriculum Overview:

Soo ever since kid i was interested in bikes this interest was all for me to take this course , my father is very bike enthusiast and it came down to me , i could easily take mechanical and other engineering cause these are common courses which involves automobile , but since i wanted to follow my passion , i wanted to do specialization in automobile itself and DPCOE was offering this course with great facilities and knowledge providing us a path in this lane of career in this field. According to me curriculum prepares us quite well as they conduct workshop which are relevant to outside world where we'll be working. If there were more practical workshops for us to work on would be great cause automobile engineering is all about practicals rather than theoroticals Professor should try teaching in physical part rather than taking lectures and explaining the concept by just words

Placement Experience:

Yes there is placement cell of STES which is no different than other tier 3 engineering colleges offering a tier 3 average package depending on who is the recruiter. Students become eligible for campus from 3rd year of their degree. Highest package is something around 55 lakhs offered to a computer engineering student, and average is just like I said for a tier 3 college 5-6 lakhs(above or below). Almost everyone gets placed in the company but some might not.
