Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

It does not focus on only on subject. We get knowledge of various fields such as audit, taxation etc. Along with economics and commerce. The teaching techniques are very good, the teachers give emphasis on helping students understand the concepts. Teachers generally give us assignments where we need to create presentations on various topics covered the class and present them in front of all students.

Internships Opportunities

4.5

Deloitte, K. D. Shah, BDO, M. M. Chitale & Company, EY, KPMG, CBV & Associates, etc. Are the names of the companies that provide internships. The stipend provided is in the range of 10000 - 15000 rupees. Generally we get a role of an accountant.

Placement Experience

4.5

The placements provided by the college are very good. Companies such as Deloitte, KPMG, K. D. Shah, etc. Are the employers. Even after the degree is completed we can easily get jobs as accountants for about 15000 per months. Even the companies from placement cell provide similar employment opportunities. I am considering doing MBA after my B. Com 3rd year is completed.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure is very good in my opinion. Also the fees are comparatively less then other colleges in mumbai. We get MahaDBT scholarships at the college where about 50% of the fees are reduced. There is a placement cell in the college from where students can apply for internships in various companies and firms such Deloitte, KPMG,etc . The stipends awarded are in the range of 10-15 thousand per months.

Campus Life

4.5

There are various cells such as the gymkhana from where students can participate in various sports ans sport events and competitions such as cricket, running, kabaddi, etc. available in the college and various events such as enigma, matematrix are conducted during the year. Matematrix is conducted in the month of august and enigme in october. The college library is very huge, there are 90000+ books in the library to which every student can get access to after getting a library card. There are various types of books starting from biography to fictional, educational to motivational, etc.

Admission

All students who have passed their 12th exams are eligible for the course. The application form and other details are available on the college website. 2 semester exams are conducted each year where each paper is of 60 marks each. I think the difficulty level is moderate and if you have the conceptial clearity of the subject then you can easily crack the exams

Faculty

4.5

I think we have got one of the best faculties at the college. All of them are very experienced and are people of expertiese in their respective fields. Each of them are very well in communication and interact with students on a regular basis. Teachers us creative and practical ways of teaching for eg. They took us for an industrial visit in order to get practical knowledge.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is very good on paper. University has given like 8 subjects from which we have to choose 5. But this college itself chooses 5 subjects and students now have to learn only them ... Like in 3rd year sem 5 there was subject international finance I wanted to study that because baf course is all about finance but the college had subject management. So yeah be prepared for this. My colleges reputation is not that great because other city students come too. So for about teaching it's average

Course Curriculum Overview:

This course is recommended for the students who want to pursue a career in the finance field or if someone who is looking to a course like CFA, this bachelors degree becomes handy. This course teaches you about the financial spectrum of the whole world and gives you an intricate understanding about different financial instruments and their relevance in the society. It teaches one of the most sought after skills in today's world, that is financial literacy. Still I think some of the subjects introduced under the NEP are completely irrelevant such as EVS and IKS. We as college students need to give quality time on some professional subjects, not that these subjects are not important but they need to be emphasised in the early classes. There are three internal exams of 10 marks each and 20 minutes for each paper. The end sem exam is of 30 marks for minor subjects and 60 marks for major subjects. Also I feel that the difficulty level is okay.
