Truth of VIT

Don't expect from the college to teach useful things, we study most of the time theory, for external development for yourself, you can participate in hackathon and etc conducted by student bodies in college, I chose information technology because there is less competition in it and the computer science and IT has identical placements, courses can be more practical and real world based rather than just theory based, exams are conducted almost every month, and semester last around 4-5 months

Vit is collaborated with many colleges and iits and they provide some free intership opportunities and you can get a decent amount of stipend under them, projects can be done under a vit faculty for the better resume

From 5 semester students are eligible for campus placement and around 800 companies visited and the highest offer made was around 1.1 crore, and average packages are around 8 lpa , around 80 percent students get placed, my plans after degree is to do job and gain experience and look for a start up

Vit has total 5 categories, category 1 is around 2 lakhs, category 2 for 3 , category 3 for 4 , category 4 for 4.5 lakhs and category 5 for 5 lakhs, the category is based on the rank you get in viteee exam and the course you choose, my course is Information technology and I scored 6100 rank and my is category 1 so my tution fee is 195000 , if you get rank in 1-1000 you are eligible for scholarships, campus employment are still in progress

The annual technical fest is called gravitas and various, student bodies conduct workshops and knowledge based programs which also provide certificates, library is vast and multiple books can be accessed by the students, the cultural fest is called Rivera and is held around February ending and various musical artists comes to the fest, sports faculties are available but you have to pay a certain amount each semester to avail the benifits for certain sports, student welfare clubs are there which are good for students and always are available for the students

For doing btech you need to have non medical in high school ,you can fill the registration form on viteee site, and vit official site, the rank system for the exam is very ambiguous, it seems like the rank you get is randomised and not based on actual scores.

The faculty student ratio is around 1:16, and average strength in each class is around 50, not every faculty is accomplished in their subject most of them are experts in different subjects
