Experience at P.I.E.T

I must say I love my branch i.e. Artificial intelligence and data science. The curriculum sometimes was a bit irrelevant. But overall, it was pretty good and up to standards. There were subjects that were very theoretical but it gave us a strong foundation.

Placement is okay. Companies visit the college but they are of less package according to the fees they are taking. However, they provide technical and placement classes to improve the skills of students. I am placed but I can say it was not very easy.

Yes, so the fee for my batch was 1,08,000 but nowadays it's about 1,59,000. Students who are from Jammu, Bihar, Nepal, and Assam, get scholarships and there is a merit-based scholarship also. The students who had good ranks in jee mains, also got scholarships.

My campus life was good. We have lots of functions every year. Two fests in a year with lots of competition and activities. They also provide sports facilities and competitions for interested students. They have a good environment with a bit of restrictions for hostelers. But overall good.

They are very transparent about hostel fees. We don't know what the charges are for what accommodation. We have a laundry room, mess, rooms with ac and non-AC, 3 sitters and 4 sitters, each one has its separate almirah. But I must say every student must be cautious even if they are your friends because many students steal things and money.

At the time of my admission, there were no particular criteria. It was easy to take admission. But now they take interviews of students also. And according to their marks and performance, they get a branch. It was a bit easy and different at my time.

I was of AI DS and in my department, there were many teachers who were assigned those subjects in which they didn't even have knowledge. But the teachers were nice and very supportive. They have knowledge in their particular domain but they were not assigned the correct subjects.
