Dislikes

Everything is available including wifi, labs, classrooms and libraries.
Washrooms are very clean, hygienic and well maintained.
We also have a workshop and an indoor stadium which has a gym also.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum is relevant for our college exam. Semester exams are moderate and the pass rate is nearly 100%. Midterms are difficult because teachers ensure that every student studies very well to pass the exam.

Internships Opportunities

Our college offers credited Summer internships for both the undergraduate and postgraduate students and also long term internships with duration of six months or more. There is also provision for internships for students from other organisations in specialised areas and departments.

Placement Experience

Almost 60% of students got placed in our course. The highest was 7 LPA, the lowest was 3.5 LPA and the average is around 5 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Vodafone, Jio etc. Our college provides better placements compared to other private colleges.

Fees and Financial Aid

Total tuition fees is ?4.98 lakh which is quite expensive. Top recruiting companies include construction companies like RDC concrete, Taj cement, Patel Engineering, etc. The top role offered in our course is Graduate Engineer Trainee.

Campus Life

Euiphuism is the main fest in our college that is organised for 3 days in January. Ethno fest was organised for 2 days in April. Sports and games are not given much importance. Our college has different clubs like the cultural club, photography club, sports club etc.

Admission

One has to secure at least 45% marks in aggregate in Physics, Chemistry and maths. One can get admission by taking our entrance exam(GCU-CAT) or by CEE or JEE exams. Midterms are difficult because teachers ensure that every student studies very well to pass the exam.

Faculty

The faculty to student ratio is 7:70. Faculty members are very helpful and qualified in their respective courses. They are also friendly so we can interact with them quite well. They provide sufficient study materials to students.

Placement Experience:

Placements at IIT Guwahati are excellent especially in the tech field ,with high placement rates and strong average packages generally Rs 30 lakh per annum. Top companies regularly visit the campus. After completing the course if i do not get placed on campus which is hardly possible i'll look for other off campus placements.

The placement is quite good in my college. In 7 th semester the placements start and the package goes from 16lpa to 2 cr . About 75 percent student who applied got placed . I want to work in a software firm.

Students normally appear for placements in fourth year with two placement seasons namely from december to january and february to march. Companies include quant companies and tech giants like JPMC, Reliance Industries, WellsFargo,Piramal, Standard Chartered,Texas Instrumentation, walmart, Microsoft, Amazon, Deloitte,Oracle, HCL, Barclays, Tata steel, uber, legato, Mastercard, Nutanix, BPCL, BEL,PWC, Socgen, etc. Almost 80% students get placed every year with the average package ?1,60,000. The highest package was 1.68 crore per annum from the branch of Computer Science.

only fourth year students are eligible for campus placements . the detalis of the visiting compaies are not thte sure but at least 10 stuents are placed each year from every single batch. the higest so far was 20 lpa and it was in amazon , the student who cracked that placement applied it off campus . on campus placement was not more than 10 lpa so far . the percentage of students getting placemnets are less than 50% not because of quality of placement but majority stuents opt for higher studies or goverment jobs rather than direct placement . my paln is to also pursue higher education
