Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The course that I chose was focused on management and specialisation in finance. The curriculum had everything you need to become a successful manager and the college faculty also focused on presentations and group activities. It really helps the students to be ready for the industry environment and for better adaptability. The exams were conducted online and offline. Every semester had 2 unit exams and 1 end semester exam.

Fees and Financial Aid

The tuition fee was worth it according to the services and facilities provided. There was not a huge hike in the fees during the course of three years. Fees were to be paid before every semester or in whole for one year. The college provided scholarship on the merit based format. The college provided internship and jobs during and after the course. The stipend for job were around 3.5 LPA to 5 LPA.

Campus Life

4.5

Campus life at KES Shroff College of Arts and Commerce is vibrant and engaging, offering opportunities for social interaction and personal growth for the students. There were sports events and all sorts of other art related events, concerts etc. The college library is well-stocked with a wide range of books, journals, and digital resources. It offers easy accessibility of books and journals for students for both academic and research purposes.

Admission

To be eligible for courses at KES Shroff College, candidates typically need to have completed their higher secondary education (10+2) from a recognized board. Specific courses may have additional requirements. Cut-off marks were provided. Transparency and detailed information about the list was provided. As mentioned every semester had 2 units and one end semester. Even though it may sound hectic it wasn't. Enough time was provided by the college in between the exams. The exams difficulty level were not that high. The exam papers were set by the subject faculty themselves.

Faculty

3.5

The faculty at KES Shroff College of Arts and Commerce are well-qualified with advanced degrees and industry experience. The balanced faculty-to-student ratio allows for personalized attention and interactive learning. While most faculty members are approachable and supportive, providing valuable guidance, the consistency of personalized mentorship varies. Overall, the faculty's expertise and commitment enhance the educational experience, though improved availability and consistent mentorship would be beneficial. The only downside was faced by the students in third of the college when most of the faculty were visiting facilities.

Placement Experience:

Placement cell is quite good. Students are eligible for placement in their last semester of course. There are many great companies that come like JP MORGAN, EY, KPMG. Average package of the college is 5-6 lacs but there are high packages according to the skills of the student. I'd like to go for master's after BMS. Different kind of roles are there for students to apply according to their interests in all the fields like finance, marketing, HR, consulting. There is training provided by the college for placemens and there is personal training for individual company interviews if required by students.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Honestly, the course alone can't prepare you for real world applications. It's important to learn some skills before getting into job market. The course is pretty theory based and doesn't have a practical approach. The only skill thing that college helps with is public speaking through presentations. The teaching methods are also very much traditional type. So it's better to learn some extra skills and get experience, that can help you get your ideal job.
