- Faculty and staff is really helpful and understanding. They try their best to help every student and make them comfortable
- Environment and discipline is top notch. Campus is neat and clean and open
- Competition and events happen on daily basis.
Dislikes
- Canteen has no chairs to sit. Only standing tables are there that too unbalanced
- It's too hot in summer in classes. Very difficult for students to study and teachers to teach.
Course Curriculum Overview
Bachelor of commerce in DAV college hold a high value. This course taught me almost everything about trade and commerce including accounting terms. Practical approach is somewhere missing in this course. Students need to learn practical skills as well as theoretical knowledge which can be improved with time.
Internships Opportunities
Many local and national companies offer internship programs with high stipends amd training before hand afterwards they themselves provide job to deserving candidates with package of minimum 250000. Hdfc bank, icici, sbi, powerhouse companies etc.
Placement Experience
Placement cell in DAV college is Appreciable. Students can apply from 1st semester also. Depending upon the need of company students form almost every course are provided placements on basis of their skills. Sbi card, centricity, NHS hospital, HDFC bank etc. many huge companies visited and offered high value jobs. 30-40% stidents get placement every year. I've been planning to do masters from DAV itself
Fees and Financial Aid
Fees is around 45k - 50k per year for bachelor of commerce. Total fee vary depending upon the course. But for meritorious students and schedule cast college provide number of scholarship and concessions. For staff ward fee criteria is different.
Campus Life
Many festivals and events takes place from time to time depending on festive season. Youth fest, cooking competitions, teej, Diwali, Holi, basant panchami etc celebration are held with great opportunities to participate in different events. Library provides every genre with simple procedure. students welfare clubs and many more are there for students' social interaction.
Admission
Eligibility of the course is 50% marks in 12th standard from any board. Admission process is not so difficult. You jut need to carry all important documents with you. Application form cost around rs. 500 and it starts from May and goes till July without any penalty for late admission but after that they charge some extra ammount. No entertane exam is conducted.
Faculty
Faculty is too good. Faculty to student ratio is around 1:10. Teachers are helpful. Stidents can approach to teachers amd mentors whenever they are in need or they need to consult about any issue. My personal interaction with all the teachers was really good they understood my problems and trjed their best to meet my expectations.
