Course Curriculum Overview

4

The course which is Ba Llb is very much relevant and comprehensive in today's world, the changing sphere of occupational structure and complexities in the government give rise to legal implications for all the day to day actions and thus law becomes a crucial part, since it is an integrated course which makes it easy and quick to do llb just after your higher school, I wanted to make an impact in justice delivery in the country so i opted for this course, this curriculum prepares you for real world problems and professional dealing with day to day social interactions, what can be improved is the syllabus should be updated to involve more practical aspects of legal sphere rather than just statutory laws and written documents, practical education should be promoted. Coming to the exams it is conducted in two levels, internals which includes a 10 marks internal assessment, PSDA, attendence, and externals which is a completely descriptive paper of 60 marks - difficulty is easy to medium

Internships Opportunities

3.5

College provides alot of internship opportunities, the internship and placement cell keeps sending the opportunities of summer internships under different institutions such as DSLA, under their alumi in high court and supreme court, the college has a name and getting internship is easy here, there are several projects conducted such as - Village outreach programmes, Free legal aid clinics, court visits etc

Placement Experience

2.5

The pros of this college is that it is situated in delhi, which has a huge location advantage, students gets all the opportunities of internships under district courts, high court, tribunals and also under bodies like NITI ayog, CBI etc so there is always immense opportunities in delhi and thus college helps in that, the name of the college helps in getting an internships, students here intern from the first semester itself, it is unpaid and there is alot of learning, from 3rd year they get paid internships for the work such as drafting etc There is more inclination in students towards off campus placements, they get placed in tier 1 firms too with their merit, people go for litigation and judiciary also

Fees and Financial Aid

Fee is continuously increasing as for the 2021-2026 batch it was 60000rs per year (as they didn't have Hons course) it increased to 100000rs for 2022-2027 batch and now 150000 for 2023-2028 batch and it will increase in subsequent batch according to the trend and requirements, This course will cost you 600000rs and including the accommodation which generally outside delhi student takes, it costs around 10000rs per month, if you get hostel which is tough, it will cost 60000rs per year

Campus Life

3.5

Campus life is vibrant here, since it is situated in delhi you will feel the enery of that raw and young dehi, so a cool environment of gen Zs, the annual fest held here is Anugoonj with over 1lakh + foot falls from all over the state, there are fest of other courses too so whole year is a busy year fest wise and a student can attend those also, classrooms are well equipped with smart board and ACs, clubs are active in conducting seminars and competitions overall a dynastic vibrant environment

Hostel Facilities

4.5

Hostels are provided basically to the outside delhi students, different hostel for boys and girls and the best thing is, we are provided with single room for each student which contains a cupboard, a study table and a bed, mess facilities are good, food is served 4 times a day and there are other facilities in the hostel such as reading room, common room with Ac, all the equipments for playing and enjoying, hostel has a great social environment with real interactions and connections for life, for hostel registration one has to submit their domicile certificate, their admission slip and a proof of residence, if not hostel then there are PGs and Flats nearby the dwarka area

Admission

For this course you have to qualify your 12th boards with 70% marks and you have to crack CLAT( common law admission test) there is a 75% reservation for delhi domicile students so seats for outside delhi student is 20-25, ideally your rank (for general category) should be AIR 1500-2000, CLAT is conducted once in a year and is a comprehension based paper, the admission process is usually slow it can be improved

Faculty

3

Faculties are highly qualified, some are exceptionally veteran in their field, with accolades of research work and publications, most of the senior faculties are alumni of prestigious colleges like JNU, DU, NLUs and have a good experience, some professors have been transferred to NLUs as Vice chancellor also, though a drawback is sometimes their PhD scholars teaches us which reflects obvious inexperience, faculty to student ratio is 1:60 and that is quiet interactive, there is a good environment of active discussion and class participation, and faculties are friendly and approachable they will be more than happy to help you and even provide you opportunities of internships

Placement Experience:

Placements at TIPS are honestly little slim. Even tough with such a small batch size less than 50% students are provided placements and it's a sad reality. Never mind though as one can't argue much on all thes things. Some law firms and decorated law firms lawyers come for interviews and a salary of 30-50k is offered but as I said to just a few students.

The course covers all the important legal topics and includes exercises like moot courts, guiding client meetings and writing judgments. All of these inspired me to get involved with the program. You will do internals and PSDAs mid-semester and finish with an exam. They can be dealt with well when learners prepare for them regularly.
