TCET honest review

The curriculum is easy and doable for any average PCM student, although the curriculum does not prepare you well enough to face the industry. You will need to do additional courses, internships and gain additional knowledge for getting a satisfactory job.

There are various in-house and outhouse internship opportunities provided by the college, internships can be paid or unpaid depending on the skills the student has. I would still suggest you to look for an internship outside of the college.

The placement of TCET isn't the best you can ask for, there are students struggling to get dream jobs and packages, students are just aiming to secure a job and get into the industry and other students prepare for masters.

The tution fees per year is approx 1.5 lacs, for the first year it is approximately 1.6 lacs and then for the rest 3 years it ranges from 1.4-1.55 lacs. EWS category students are provided with fees concessions. Fees also varies for category students.

There are various fests and events like Fiesta, Enertia, Sojourn, Tspark, Reflex, etc. These events include cultural, sports, performing arts and various other fields. Sports at TCET is on a better side, there are several teams of different sports such as cricket, football, basketball, etc. They play tournaments which are competitive, so athletes can opt TCET specially for sports.

Admission process is simple and easy. The student who has secured the cutoff percentage and apply for the college on the online portal and visit the college once his/her name is reflected on merit list, the admission is completed in 1 day only, just bring the necessary documents which would be specified in the portal.

Teachers and other faculty members are friendly, but not all are efficient enough to ease your time at TCET, the curriculum focus more on rote learning rather than building practical skills, would not recommend it if you want to become an efficient engineer using your teachers guidance
