As a student in the Electrical Engineering program at the Faculty of Technology (FOT), Delhi University, my decision to choose this college was based on a combination of academic ambition, the university's esteemed reputation, and the promising curriculum of the newly introduced B.Tech course. The factors that influenced my choice over other institutions, such as Delhi Technological University (DTU) and Netaji Subhas University of Technology (NSUT), were primarily the DU brand name, the practical curriculum, and the more attainable admission criteria for my rank. Comparison with other colleges My college search led me to apply for admission to some of Delhi's premier technical institutions, including DTU and NSUT. Curriculum: FOT’s B.Tech curriculum was a significant draw. The program, designed under the New Education Policy, offers a strong balance of theoretical knowledge and practical, hands-on lab sessions using modern equipment. This contrasts with the sometimes older syllabi found at established institutions. Reviews of DTU, for instance, note a decent but not exceptional curriculum for electrical engineering, with some difficult exams and strict passing criteria. FOT's updated labs, featuring expensive and new equipment, were also a compelling factor. Infrastructure and Campus Life: This is an area where FOT currently lags behind. While DTU and NSUT have well-established, sprawling campuses with extensive facilities and vibrant student life, FOT's classes are currently conducted in a temporary building within the DU North Campus. The new permanent building is under construction, and until its completion, dedicated campus life, including hostels, sports facilities, and events, is limited. I only opted Delhi University for BSc Computer Science. The admission process was made very easy via CUET exam and DU CSAS process for seat allocation. We just had to give our cuet admission number and other details and our registration was done. After that preference filling was done and then the allocation rounds started. I would say the process was very helpful and simple in DU. Since i didnt apply for others my only option was Delhi University and nothing went wrong....Read More

Why I choose this cause I didn't take cuet seriously and score less marks and got no admission In govt college..I don't want to study in private college so I start to prepare for govt job and my friend suggest me dropping a year is not good take admission in sol and prepare for your govt job...also it's open learning so no problem to attend every class...continue your study...i choose this because it's affiliated with delhi university... admission is easy...fill your registration from online in sol.du.ac and fill out admission form and then after validating your form your fees portal is open then pay fees bingo you are student of du sol now....Read More
