Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The content of the course is very much relevant to the field of study. The course curriculum is strictly derived from the AICTE'S directions. The teaching method in the college is traditional using the board method. But from past some time, the smart boards have been provided in almost every department, but in some classrooms the smart boards are still missing. The exams are held after fixed time intervals. The dates for sessional exams are fixed by the heads of the department and their timing is 1.5 hours. The finals are held per b University rules and are of 3 hours duration.

Fees and Financial Aid

The tuition fee and hostel fees are not very high. The tuition fee for odd semester is little high and can go upto 18000 , whereas for even semester it is less and can go upto only 15000. In case of hostel fee , it is almost 25000 ( covers both mess and room charges) . The scholarships are available for those students belonging from reserved categories. Some companies do visit our college for on campus placement drives.

Campus Life

4.5

A annual fest is held in the college campus . The name of the fest WAVES. The fest is held in the month of February. Every type of books and journals of every engineering discipline are available in the library. The staff of the library is too supportive . Sports are not very much supported in the college . College has a cricket ground but it is not very well maintained . Students run 2-3 social groups in the college , the names of groups are 4e grop , this group works on the energy conservation and other group is bis group. All the groups carry drives in the nearby villages and make the locals aware.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

Rooms are well equipped. Hostel rooms are provided with bed , fan , a chair , a study table. Washrooms are well maintained in the hostel. The food provided in the mess is of good quality . The menu of the mess is decided by the students themselves. The registration process for the hostel is too simple. You should not be the residence of home district and only you have to meet the warden in person and he will give you a form to fill , after which you will be allotted the room. PG are available near the college , but they are too expensive . They charge nearly 10000 per month , which is very much as compared to the hostel charges.

Admission

The admission is based on the score in the JKCET Exam that is held annually by JKBOPEE. One needs to be 12th pass or appearing to be eligible for the test. The application fee for the JKCET test is 1000 and one can apply for it through the JKBOPEE official website. The timing of the exam is 3 hours and the difficulty level is moderate. The admission process after the test is very simple, one needs to attend a counselling session held by JKBOPEE and then he can get admission to the college of their choice.

Faculty

4

The permanent faculties are highly qualified , they mostly have done PhD. Whereas the non permanent faculties have done masters in their respective fields. The faculty to student ratio is generally 1 teacher per 30 students. The teachers are fully dedicated toward the Satisfaction of the students.

Placement Experience:

The Placements opportunities are fair as they placement is not good. The average placement is 5 l.p.a which is very low. So you have to prepare for off campus placement. The College is slightly cut off from the top companies and they are not visiting our college from covide period. Thus placement is at not good track.

Students become eligible for campus placements in 8th semester. Companies like L&T construction, Ambuja cement, tata , wipro, jio , Berger, infosys, IBM and many more visit the college. Highest package is around 17 LPA and average package is around 5 LPA . Almost 30 percent students get placement. My plan is to get off campus placement.

The placement of our college is Average and the students are eligible in 7 semester for placement. If the student has any backlog in any of the semester they can't sit in the college placement and also it has minimum criteria of 6.5 cgpa. The percentage of students getting placement is very low sadly
