Remarks
The cut off rates were higher than usual, which poses a problem especially for general category students like me. But the application process was very simple. I personally didnt face any issues. I did not have to give any entrance exams as CUET was not applicable then.
Course Curriculum Overview
I was a part of the CBCS Framework, not NEP. CBCS is good, as all the papers are arranged in perfect order and there is no repetition. The curriculum also ensures that all aspects of the field are covered, so that the students can get exposure to each of them. But this course is not useful for anyone who wants to enter corporate world. Its only good for those who are interested in research.
Placement Experience
Our college provides placement opportunities from 3rd year onwards and we do have big companies visiting like EY and HSBC. I personally do not have idea about average packages and profiles, as i did not sit for placement. But placement opportunities are rarely given to students from science courses.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees was a bit high, i feel. But then usually science courses have high fees due to presence of labs. There were no scholarships available. No financial assistance or guidance of any sort was provided. There are no campus employment opportunities.
Campus Life
I had a good campus life somewhat. I was a part of 3 societies, and even went on to take leadership roles in 2 of them till my 3rd year. These societies help you meet new people, get an experience of management, and provide new connections. They also conduct annual fests.
Faculty
I personally was privileged to have wonderful faculty for my course in my college. All teachers are excellent in their own respective fields, and they believe in providing a learning environment where the students feel free to explore by themselves and discover. They also make sure that the students feel free to approach them for any problem that they might be facing, even if its apart from academics.
