The course curriculum is indeed very diverse and of its kind. National Institute of technology Durgapur is one of the NITs which have many numbers of programs like Biotechnology chemical engineering Metallurgy as well as integrated Mtech and MS programs for undergraduates.

There are two fests that are celebrated annually in the College campus. One is a cultural fest and other being a technical fest. The cultural fest is Aarohan and the technical fest is called as Avishkar. The various clubs and societies of the College organize various events around the calendar.

The fees are very less as compared to the level of education provided. There are various state-financed scholarships also present that further help the students. The fees per semester including accommodation and food is 72k for general category students.

The campus life is great as the campus is spread over a very large area and has a lush green campus. The gender ratio is great and diversity is ambient in the campus. Every morning we have a sac event and labs etc are very well maintained. The clubs take care of robotics and debates.

The hostel facilities are good and each year has its own separate hostel and mess. The first year hostel is very New and the second and third year also was blessed with a new campus this year which is 15 floors high. The mess is separate for vegetarians and non-vegetarians.

The alumni network is good and the seniors are also very helping. They make sure everyone gets the catch of the College and very helping.

The exam Structure has 8 semesters. Each semester has one mid-semester exam an internal and an end semester exam, everything summing to a total of 100 marks. The passing marks are 50 in each course and there are practicals as well in which passing marks are 40.

The admission process for Indian nationals for undergraduates is only through Jee mains which is a national level examination and makes sure only the cream students make through the rigorous assessment of the two-year syllabus examination. After Jee mains you have a good rank you get into counseling procedure and then admission.

The faculty is very trained and experts in the respective fields. They are the alumni of respected colleges itself and some of them have foreign masters and doctorates as well. This ensures quality education as well as great research atmosphere in the campus.
