Likes

The atmosphere and environment in which the college was situated
Over the time hostel restrictions were lenient for girls.
The canteen was big and served good food

Dislikes

In the beginning the college hostel was strict.
Wasnt allowed to stay back at college after 6pm especially for girls
Bunking classes durings the hours were not easy

Course Curriculum Overview

During my term the college was under KTU and now it's autonomous. Therefore curriculum and it's relevance mosyly depends on the KTU assigned syllabus.Teachers are helpful during the exams and internals are conducted as two exams in one day timeline

Class Size: 70Course Fees: INR 72000 per year

Placement Experience

The placement cell provided placement training to all the students. The companies that came were SOTI, TCS , GH , SAFRAN etc. All rhe top MNCS offered placements. The highest is 12LPA of SIB bank. I got placed in two companies luckily

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure was in accordance to ktu. there are many scholarships availble for students with financial difficulty. There were no delay in recieving funds as well. Incentives were peovided for projects under varuous programs too

Campus Life

There are many clubs available like IEEE,ACM, Idea lab,NextGuard etc. the college has an arts fest called AZURE and tech fest conducted by independent department. A seperate day for sports days is also conducted. Each department has a library and apart from that there is a central library available too.

Hostel Facilities

The menu is changed every 3 months with the supervision of the management and students. Each year the rooms are changed which can be selected by the students itself. The mess fee for each month would be around 4.5k and icould lower depending on the no of leaves you take that month

Hostel Fee: INR 24000 per year

Admission

I had a score of 22k for keam and got AJCE in the third allotment. Apart from that i got admission through merit management that is using my 12th mark in computer dept itself. The admission process wasnt that hectic.

Faculty

All the teachers were friendly and always maintained a decorum. They were always helpful during seminars and projects. Some teachers were purely textbook knowledge who often had difficulty in clarifying doubts

Placement Experience:

The campus placements are good, can be better. This year the average is 15L and median is 12L and highest is 50L for ece, the percentage of placed students in ece is also greater than 80%.In the 3rd year students are taken for interships and those may convert to placements and for 4th year students placements will start from the start of their 4th year itself.For ece meesho, dell, texax instuments and many other companies came, meesho paid the highest salary in ece.My plan is to secure a good job in core company.

Nit Calicut - Good Side and Worse Side

Placement Experience:

we get placements mostly in the post 6th sem or in 7th sem. Some major companies like texas instruments offer good packages here. others include meesho, goldmans sachs, dell, bpl. Highest package is around 50lakh for ece students and around 70 lakh for cse. more than 80 percent get placed from cse and ece but is only around 20 percent in branches like production engineering, engineering physics. less core companies than it ones
