Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

Our college is based on the Apj Abdul Kalam technological University, .The course I have been taken is cse.The curriculum will taught a student about the basic aspects of computer engineering.it includes languages like Java ,c, python etc.It will be not bad for current job scenarios.but the curriculum must need improvement..I think they established new curriculum for the upcoming batches of students.the sem exams, on papers wants to be conducted in six months.but in reality sem exams are in 3-4 months. We got only 3 months to study.thats a negative from the side. Exams are usually tough for an average student. But can crack with necessary preparations.

Internships Opportunities

3.5

In our collage we will get internships from several companies. Roles include jr. Developer, technical assistant, etc for cse students. Mechanical assistant and technical assistant for mechanical students and hr, management, finance staff for mba students.every students must take about 2 project during their course.comoanies like tech Mahindra, jio, federal Bank, Infosys, kmrl, kmml, etc give internships here.

Placement Experience

3

The students can participate in placements from there 7th semester. Companies from around the Kerala came here for placement offers.. usually they will gave a starting salary of about 20k. Companies like tech Mahindra, canara bank, federal Bank, Infosys, ESAF,jio etc will come here for placement at from 20000 rs starting. About 40% students get placed from engineering and 70 percent from mba.highest package recorded was about 45000 per month.after getting the degree I was seeking for an add on course on ai and ml.

Fees and Financial Aid

The tuition fee in our college is based on the marks of our 12th grade and entrance rank. A student who got atleast 90% mark in 12 and lessthan 30000 rank can acquire a set at about 25-35k per annum. It's just the tuition fee..it's in the merit quota. But normally fee structure ranges from 45k to 75k for cse and 35-60k for mechanical.other fees included exam fees University fee, arts and sports fee etc.it will be about 10 k an year.i had received a scholarship so now I just want to spent about 15k as fees every year.( Tuition fee). I hadn't got any jobs here. But I volunteered as a NRPF coordinator, a flagship program from nss.i am the unit coordinator.

Campus Life

4

Campus Life here is not bad.students here are pretty nice and good . The annual day and arts festivals are usually done in the months of june- July. And sports meet during the month of march- april.the Library has a lot of books and journals related to curriculum and syllabus.good labs and workshops are speciality here. various clubs like nss, nrpf ,blood cell, anti drug cell, community cell etc works on the campus..i.can guarantee they make a better individual for the community

Admission

For application for admission, there are mainly 3 kinds of admission quota.Merit, management and NRI. So for admission the students must have atleast 60% mark in physics, chemistry and maths in 12th grade. For merit seats they must have atleast 90% mark in 12 and a good keam rank. Application can be sent through gov portal for merit quota. Or else applicants can give admission application by directly getting in touch with collage office . NRI and management admission can be taken from there. For reservation benefits i think it's for a small community of people.the admission process is overall very hassle free.

Faculty

4.5

The facilities are overall qualified and they somehow know how to teach their subjects. Most of them are very friendly towards the students. With a good helping mentality approach. We can interact with the faculty whenever we want , by going to the department and if we got doubts at home we can call them whenever we want. I think there is a good faculty to student ratio there.we got mentor groups which have a mentor for every 8 Students.ie we got a ratio of 1:8 .

The campus placements are decent. getting placed in a big company is more about having the technical and soft skills to pass the interviews. the placement training helps us develop soft skills but the technical skills must be developed ourselves.
