Cmrit college

Information science is more of coding rather than hardware which is why I chose this. There are subjects that are not related to the course as well like biology,values, constitution subject etc. We even have placement course provided only in our college called tyl. Internals happen 3 times and external after every sem once.

Students after 6th sem can sit for placements but they all should have cgpa above atleast 8. Companies like Wipro, ibm, Accenture, cognizant have visited. The highest package this year was given by a Japanese company of 26 lakhs. The average package is 4,50,000. Almost 80% students get placed. Many companies do mass recruitment.

The fee structure is 2,65,000 per year for comedk students. For kcet students it is 1,20,000 and for management students it is 5,00,000. The hostel fees is 1,20,000 per year. There are few scholarships available for backward class students. It's kind of affordable .

The social life or the campus life of this college is bad. The oc (organising committee) doesn't conduct a lot of events. Sports day happens once in a year and the fest too. There are many clubs like dance, music, theatre etc. The college doesn't support the clubs financially . They manage it themselves.

The hostel menu is good but the quality of food is bad. The rooms are good and spacious with cupboard etc. The washrooms are clean but sometimes there is no water . There are two wardens who are strict. The curfew time is 7:30 for girls and for boys they don't really have restriction. You have to stay in hostel for 1 whole year and then you can leave it.

There are three ways to enter the college comedk exam, kcet exam(only for Karnataka students who have stayed in Bangalore for more than 8 years) and then management quota. The application forms and dates are announced on their website. It happens only once all over India. Kcet exam is bit tough but comedk is kind of easy.

The faculty is very friendly and are always available to solve problems. Every student here has a mentor whom we can approach for all our college problems. For every subject there are 2 teachers Max and some teachers teach more than one subject but they teach well.
