RGIT Unveiled: A Quick Insight

As a student of department of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering and the college being affiliated with the University of Mumbai, the course curriculum is developed by the university. The curriculum is well balanced with includes a long spectrum of topics. But few of the topics have outdated with respect to the industry.

The college does provide placement opportunities but they are based on the students CGPA and overall performance in the college. Student become eligible for campus and off campus placement from the 7th semester. Many companies which visit the college for placement opportunities are core companies related to the specific departments amd there are also a few that come with sales job. The average students getting placement every year vary better 43% to 62%. My plans after the degree are to go for Master's degree in electronics engineering abroad.

The fee structure of my college is Rs. 1,30,000 per year which makes a total of Rs. 5,20,000 for the whole course. The per year fees are all inclusive. It includes the tuition fees, examination fees, college maintenance fees and stationary fees. The college also provides scholarship and financial aids such as Maha-dbt, EBC scholarship and etc.

The campus of the college is almost to none with just the main college building and a lawn area is all that it offers. Whereas the social aspect of the college on the other hand is very good. The college holds three festivals throughout the year, the sports festival 'Olympia', the technical festival 'Icarus' and the flagship festival, the cultural festival 'Zodiac'. These are held in the even semester in the duration between 25 Feb to last week of March. There are various students bodies in the college as well. The official Student Council of the college. Along with that, there are numerous committees and student portals from each of the department of engineering. There is also a wide range of knowledge available in the official library of the college and the departmental libraries as well.

I did take an engineering entrance exam called as MHT-CET and its result was considered for admission. I scored 80%ile in the exam and the was the same cut off of the third list of the College for the department of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering. I did not avail any reservation benefits. All the application process was online without any fees as it was a part of the process of MHT-CET portal.

The faculty of the college are very good. They emphasize of practical knowledge along with theoretical. They make sure to interact with each student who faces any inconveniences in the process of learning. The faculties are well well qualified with M.E. in their respective fields and many are PHD's as well and have an average teaching experience of 10 - 20 years.
