Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

the curriculum is CBME-competency-based medical education. which ensures that every Indian medical graduate is competent enough to work in any given situation we also have a lot of clinical exposure right from forst year id say no more improvements needed...it is sufficient frequency of exams are once a week amd after every class we have a small mcq test to asses if we listen and understand the class pros include: this is a professional course..once you graduate, youre ready to work cons include: Long duration of course..4.5yrs plus 1 yr internship Just UG isnt enough for employment...need to do a pg as well..for that you need to crack NExT

Fees and Financial Aid

tuition fee is very very less as it is a government institution rate hikes aren't there scholarships are available for students...first graduate, students from government schools, etc stipends.. i'm not sure.. but we do have a period of internship after our final year.. we earn aroumd 20-24k per month as a stipend

Campus Life

5

Charm: this is an academic extravaganza ..charm stands for Chengalpattu medical college academic and research meet Chemfest: this is the intercollegiate cultural extravaganza that happens for three days Chemsports: this is the intercollegiate annual sports meet that happens again for three days featuring all the major and some minor sports the academic club, carrom club, books club, band, dance, all are student run clubs the library is huge and has a lot of resources that include various journals and books

Admission

eligibility for entrance exam (neet) need to pass 12th examinations, irrespective of the board, physics chemistry biology should be studied. need to clear neet with a very high all India rank, around 16-18k to get into this college in the first round of counselling aiq, sq, sports quota and govt school students7.5 reservation is there the difficulty of exams isn't that hard... if the student studies regularly in school and the coaching, then neet is easy to crack admission is a detailed and lengthy process .. it almost takes an entire day to enroll in that college

Faculty

4.5

faculties are many in number..hence you get induvidual attention. teaching is so good here...they clear doubts almost instantly and teachers are very approachable teachers are highly qualified with a lot of experience

Course Curriculum Overview:

the course is very challenging obviously as we're studying to become doctors. it could've been better by increasing the duration of the course. our first year/ semester instead of it being for 12 months was only of 9-10 months so our portions are being pushed a little. it happened due the scam etc around neet and our course start date was pushed. the course could be made easier by increasing the duration of the course. we have exams every week which does make it easier to keep up with the portions but makes it too stressful for us. maybe instead of keeping exams on monday they could change it to saturday so we can relax and be free on sundays.

Placement Experience:

The students in their internship will get around 35000 per month excluding their mess fees, they have the option to opt out of the mess. And once they finish their internship they had to do two years bond in places where the colleges allot them and the salary for those two years will be decided by the place the person goes and itll be definitely more than what they get during internship.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The college strictly follows NMC rules and which is a very good thing as it helps us prepare for both theory and practical as theory give u the vast knowledge and practical allows us to imply what we learnt and also after the new rules of introducing histology we can also apply the idea of more creativity in a field a lot of creativity is yet to be unfolded they also cover important aspects through regular workshops and educate us with guest lectures from other colleges the important improvement which should be done is having the patience to teach a. Crowd of 250 which teachers should undergo special 2-3 classes to make sure they know what they teach is being reached out to everyone the timing of exam and everything is on time theh give us enough time to prepare and get ready
