Atmosphere is good and natural and college is near to the hospital.

Course Curriculum Overview

This is medical college. so it is fully practicals oriented. internal assessment will be conducted every month though which they give internals marks. University exams are conducted by dr. mgr University every year. If we fail, supplementary exams will be conducted after 6 months and after 1 months only for first year students. from second year, we go to hospital postings where we will get clinical knowledge.

Placement Experience

This is government Medical college so there is no necessary for the companies to visit this college. faculties are providing good education to clear post graduation entrance examinations.

College Events

Yearly, they will conduct sports competition for cricket, volleyball, basket ball, football etc. in the name of chemsports whereas students from various colleges will participate in this competition. and also there are many cultural events conducted by college councils like chemfest, Tamil mandram events and charm for academic events. and also many minor events.

Fee Structure And Facilities

There is no donation fees. annually tuition is maximum 13600 and we have to pay exam fees separately which will be around 6000 each year and we have to buy our books ourselves. and there is cooperative store where we can buy other accessories.

Fees and Financial Aid

No. I haven't applied for any scholarships. they are providing scholarships for first graduation and minor religion people. also from alumini association, they are providing scholarships.

Campus Life

They are conducting sports and cultural competitions yearly which is known as chemsports/chemfest. campus atmosphere is good. there is diversity among the students in the college. everyone are given equal respects. there is playing ground for many games separately.

Hostel Facilities

Hostels are good. they are hygienic and providing hygienic foods. rooms will be shared by maximum 3 student. we can choose our rooms ourselves. there will be 2 fans and 2 lights in each rooms. warden is graduated doctor, so we can complain anything necessary.

Alumni/Alumna

Seniors are very helpful. they are really supportive and inspiring. they are friendly and share their experience and knowledge.

Admission

I got admission in this college through state counseling which is conducted based on NEET exams. It is really tough exam. I prepared for the exams for 2 years. I got good score in neet. School seniors suggested to choose this college. this is government college. so admission is only through counseling conducted by the government. I applied for the state counseling through online. counseling was conducted in omandurar medical college. counseling was conducted for 4 days. I was called in the first day. I selected this college. 15 seats are given for all India counseling whereas people from other states can get admission through all India counseling.

Faculty

Lecturers are qualified doctors. for each subjects, there will be more than 10 lectures in the order of professor, associate professors, assistant professors. average age is 40. They are well experienced doctors with MD or MS degrees. they were appointed by the government.

Course Curriculum Overview:

the course is very challenging obviously as we're studying to become doctors. it could've been better by increasing the duration of the course. our first year/ semester instead of it being for 12 months was only of 9-10 months so our portions are being pushed a little. it happened due the scam etc around neet and our course start date was pushed. the course could be made easier by increasing the duration of the course. we have exams every week which does make it easier to keep up with the portions but makes it too stressful for us. maybe instead of keeping exams on monday they could change it to saturday so we can relax and be free on sundays.
