Likes

library is good and gives the user variety of available books
have a good climatic conditions which is not too hot and not too coold
the teaching is quite good and gives the students a variety of knowledge and there are also some good teachers

Dislikes

while there are good teachers there are also some bad teachers who would not take class regularly and the students need to tell them to take class many times
the roads must be repaired as some of the roads are too bad and damaged now
the faculty building is now somewhat old and must be repaired as soon as possible

Course Curriculum Overview

the curriculum is quite good for the students and make us wanna learn new things but how ever the execution of curriculums were quite not good as to how it was described and further more, the facility needs to have better equipment to better understand the theories which require certain instruments. Also if we could have a model of what we are learning to better understand it and if they have time to tell us how we could apply it in real life so as to gain new ideas. the difficulty level of the curriculum is hard and there are things which we can not quite fully understand but if given more time we could understand these things.

Fees and Financial Aid

the tuition feee is quite average and could be easily be paid however the exam fees were kinda costly than expected. we cand have a scholarship which is based on merit and tribal mostly people living here are tribal people and would opt for the tribal scholarship. this tribal scholarship is around 18000 which is kinda low for us as we have to pay for both transportation fees too without scholarship there is not much financial aid. i have not yet encounter any campus jobs opportunities which can be done while studying.

Campus Life

the universities provides different kinds of clubs and extracurricular activities. first we have freshers social which is usually held in october after all the new students were admitted, etc. there are a variety of books and journals available in the library as well and are easily acessible. the classrooms are provided with a big tv for studying and desks and seats as well. we would have an annual sports every year in whichh all the different department participates.

Admission

i have done the entrance exam and availed the tribal reservation seat or rather the homeland reservation seat. we had entrance exam through online link and the difficulty of the exams were upto B.Sc standard and was not that hard overall if studied well

Faculty

the faculty - to -student ratio is quite good as some of the faculty teachers are easily available to approach and some teacher often tell us to call them if we want classes during our free period but some faculty teachers are too busy doing research and are not easily available to approach.

Life in mizoram University

Placement Experience:

For my course there is no placement. But for other courses they are providing placements. After my masters I'm planning to pursue mphil clinical psychology after that I will start working as a clinical psychologist in hospitals. But after my masters I can also work as a counseling psychologist. And if I crack Net I can also work as a teacher in colleges

My experience in Mizoram University

Course Curriculum Overview:

I found no difficulties in my subjects, as i am into it and gaves my all into the course. The exam time is 10 am to 1 pm. and in that timing also no difficulties could be found as we answer only four 20 marks question in each papers

Mizoram University- A detailed review from a student.

Placement Experience:

For geology there is no campus placement available for the moment but ONGC might be recruiting from the next 3 years or so. Otherwise engineering, tourism and management placements are available with 8LPA as average package. For geology, there is an ample opportunity for PhD with leading institutions as you'll have the exposure here plus you can pursue PhD here also. I am thinking of pursuing PhD here itself after finishing NET

Life in mizoram University

I got admission through the competitive exam CUET PG. Also mizoram University have separate entrance exam. Through mizoram University entrance exam they will take 30 students and through CUET PG they only take 10 students. And I choose mizoram University because this was the only central university which was providing MSc Clinical psychology and I want to complete my masters in a central university. And because of that mizoram University was my first priority. And for me other central universities was a back up plan. Now in central university of Andhra Pradesh they are providing MSc Clinical psychology. They started it this year and the course is very expensive. For admission process in mizoram University the cutoff can't be predicted because it depends on the first rank student in the cuet pg entrance. Since it's central university, the competition for getting into uni is more. The application for admission is given in the website itself. There are reservations for SC ST OBC . One can get admitted into college by 2 process, either with cuet marks or writing the exam held by uni.
