Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

The curriculum here is relevant to this time and it is also relevant to the future in All most all subjects except in microprocessor. Here curriculum prepair your problem solving ability , decission making ability , analysing the problem ability, and overall it sharpens your intellect. Here in elective subjects you have a verity of courses offered like Cyber Security, Cloud computing, python/java programming ,web dev, Jdbc, AIML etc. Some of areas where improvement is needed is in more & more practical applications and platform and project assigned to deployment of knowledge gained rather than focusing more of paper work. And practical files. And they should reduce the stress of making useless files which gets thrown after getting signed and they also asign a significant no.s for file makking. The frequency of exams are almost 2.5 months mid sem and end sem. The difficulty is on the higher side and of the viva is too higher side of more important subjects like DAA and DSA.

Internships Opportunities

3.5

There are many intership offered by microsoft, amazon, adobe and other tech companies like oracle etc. So they conduct a test in college and selects top 100 students in the exam for the intership programe also provide stipend. So they give multiple projects to get done on time like making a new ERP system or some webdev work or some DBMS work etc.

Placement Experience

3

From 5th semester students are going for the internships and placements and to sit in placements exam there shoul be minimun of 7.5 cgpa is required with 0 back. Many companies visit here and also makes a good no. And quality of offers. Companies like Google, Airbus ,Atlasian, Microsoft ,Sincher , delloitte, wipro, Adobe ,zscaler, Paypal, Nasdaq, Volvo, cern,Morgan stanley etc. Most of the sofware companies offer above 12 lakh package. Last year avg package was in CSE- 8 LPA. Hishest was - 84 LPA. Arround 70-75% students getting placed. My plan is to experience the corporate worls for 1-2 year after that probably i'll open a yoga school both online and offline as i am also into yoga. And will make app to track your mental and spritual growth and app which will encourage people to move towards higher dimensions in their lives. And also I'll try to integrate the technology with ecology and economy to help our farmers and to encourage the farming community.

Fees and Financial Aid

The tution fees is 290000 per anum. Depending on from which region you are and how well you scored in you jee mains and 12th board there is schollarship. There is 7% hike in fees every year. My complete cost would be 10,92,000 (tution fee) + 5,88,000 (hostel fee)= 16,80,000. There is 10% schollarship for Uttrakhand residentials + 10% schollarship for all india quota + 10% schollarship for good rank/marks in jee/board. Currently i am in TBI club internship which is technology bussiness incubator. And currently i am learning so there is no stipend yet but there will be after sometime. And i am also in codsoft intership programe.

Campus Life

4.5

The annual tech fest here is Grafest which is a 3 day fest. Which is popular in the whole of Uttarakhand in well-known artists like Ayushman Khurana, Neha Kakkar, Badshah, Divine, Mohit Chauhan, DJ Chetas, etc perform. And this whole fest takes place in May. There are a wide variety of books and journals there in the library and anyone can issue the books but the max limit is 5 books. Classro is well furnished there are smartboards and all LTs have the centralized AC and 4 board screens. There are various activities clubs like sports, acting, dancing, painting, photography, cinematography, poetry, raw talent, singing, technical & nontechnical clubs, etc. There are many student-run clubs like Morpankh and Learn gita live gita which only 3 colleges offer in India 1st Graphic Era 2nd IIT Kanpur and 3rd IIT Mandi under the guidance if Dr. Laxmidar Behera. And there are many more clubs.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

Hostel room and aminities are top notch like there is gym , tv area, gun range, badminton court in the hostel. Mess food here tasts decent but the menu of someday in a week is quite boring. And they don't serve fruits. Hostel fees varies from ?100000 pa to ?190000 pa. Depending on hostel ac/non ac single occupancy/ double occupancy /triple occupancy etc. My hostel fee is ?145000 pa. PGs are also available in the college area at a very low cost than hostel.

Admission

You need to have over 75% in boards or a good percentile in jee mains either of them to be eligble. After that they'll shortlist you and they'll take your interview and also there will be a form in which they'll ask about your future goals and the reason of chosing the course . Basically a SWOC analysis they'll do and based on that they will take the student. Application form are available in geu.ac.in. and application fee is 1500. Exams here are in every 2.5 months end sem and mid sem. And they are not a cake walk type you need to have a good knowledge of the topic even to pass the exam.

Faculty

4

The faculty to student ratio is quite good here and the teachers are also not very old and they are also very encouraging towards project or research . And most of them are very highly qualified well known researcher, author, scientist and also our chancellor is Dr.Vijay Kr. Sharshwat. Ex DRDO director general and the person who made agni missile. Faculty approach to teaching is modern and interactive like you'll not feel bored in classes. And about the mentorship is that they help really full heartedly to their limits to make student got their work done reguarding projects ,research, placement preparation etc. I interact with most of them reguarding my on going reseach and intership project and they are very helpfull in this. Alsi they'll provide attendance if you show the proof that you were present in more meaningfull place than class room. And you can continue the work. Some of faculty members are like your friends that your can share whatever problems you are facing rightnow.

Interview Experience

4

There was an interview related to my SWOC and my decision making abilities and my hobbies and passion for this course and other things. And also there was a form for the same purpose in which there was 5 questions with word limit of 1000 words.

Other Applied Colleges

So almunus of our college has made our placements stronger by bringing the same companies to our campus for placements year after year.

In GEU, placements are good and this was the main reason I took admission here. Companies visits here from Hyderabad offices and even Pune offices who doesn't just gives us jobs but intenrships opportunities too. Around 20% of the students even get PPO as our college teaching and training is such that getting job here is a cakewalk.
