Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

The curriculum is based on the recent climate change and its very interesting to learn to know about the climate .the exams are actually really hectic has its continous about 2months with practicals and theories. The course you learn in each semester is 9-10 with only 2 or 3 courses without practical.

Internships Opportunities

4.5

Last years have to do an internship about 2 months and you do the stipend . Internships can be done in kerala or outside there many companies offering internship. you can do do your internship in place like trivandrum, kochi , thrissur, etc. they are high reputed companies.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure is per year 15000 you will have to pay an pta fund per sem. Though there are discussions on increasing the fees it has not cone into force as students are on strike to nit increase the fee.you can avail scholarships like e grantz.

Campus Life

3.5

Though this an professional college arts and sports are given great importance.the gym facilities are also available for students with just a membership fee of 50rps .students are very well engaged in sports and arts and can be seen practicing every day.

Hostel Facilities

4

The hostel facilities are quite good and is cleaned everyday expect sunday.the washrooms are actually quite clean with proper disposing systems.one room accommodate 4 peoples and there is an open terrace .rooms are good with great infrastructures.

Admission

The admission is through keam that is you have pass the neet exam there are reserved seats for sc st and obc. 80% of seats are filled by government of kerala and 20% by ICAR .you have to take icar exams if you are not resising in kerala . The icar exam is not as tough as neet but if aim for it you can crack it

Faculty

3.5

The faculties are actually highly educated majority of them have an doctorate degree and their classes are actually good and the content they teach is actually good.most of the faculties are interactive and friendly . One thing that I noticed is that many faculties don't give attendance if you enter 5 minutes late.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum is almost best. Curriculum doesn't influenced me in deciding this course. Curriculum should add internships. Currently there is no mandatory internship, if students are interested they can do internship during vacations. As we are learning psychology which need to be practiced in real world settings, curriculum must include real world training to help students understand things more effectively. Currently intervel between exams are non existent. Internal exams, then semester exams, you blink once, next internal exams, followed by semester exams. Syllabus is understandable, can learn if you try. Exams are also manageable. Real world examples and stories can be included in teaching methods, as psychology is related to humans and human interaction, to get better grasp of concepts. Rather than focusing on passing exam, should focus on the concepts and understand them in-depth. There are a lot of theories to study by heart. And there are many repetitive topics that overlap, but in different semesters.

Course Curriculum Overview:

My course is Bsc Biotechnology. It is a research associated course. Its main scope is in research. But in every industry let it be medical or industrial a biotechnologist is required. I would like more practical knowledge than theory knowledge in this course as it is needed to be implemented in labs hands on experience is essential. Exams are conducted every 6 months as semester. Class tests and model exams are conducted frequently. Assignments, projects, seminar ,etc.. are given every month.
