Course Curriculum Overview

4

Everything depends upon the scheme the university is offering.the latest scheme or NEP is relevant to the curriculum and they are getting coding languages from the first year itself. if you are interested in coding and stuff and good at mathematics i.e logical thinking then you are good to go with the course.

Placement Experience

3

College cannot help you in everything. You have to prepare yourself on your own.As it's a recession period many people didn't get the job but as per college LinkedIn 65% students got placed in 2024.the average package for the year 2024 was around 4 lakh.

Fees and Financial Aid

You can apply for scholarship from the first year of engineering itself and for different category students they have different scholarship and you can get the scholarship within a year as and when the money is sanctioned.if you have SNQ quota you have to pay very less amount as compared to other students.

Campus Life

4

BIET Davangere boasts a well-equipped campus with experienced faculty.Placements are good, with companies like Infosys & Wipro recruiting & some students fetching packages up to 13 LPA .The labs provided are also good.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

You get a room with 3 beds as 3 students can accommodate a single room and even individual cupboards and 2 public bathroom at each floor. The meal quality is not that good.you can rent a room outside and be a day boarder to college.

Admission

I took KCET exam and I got a good rank of 23k and I was able to get ISE branch during my councelling process.I got the college at my first round and I was able to get admission after 2 days of getting allocated the seat.

Faculty

3.5

Some lectures are very good at teaching who know what they are teaching but you will not be satisfied with others.even you don't get 100% in any top colleges all are the same.you have to do your own preparation for your placements and become industry ready.

lacements at MS Ramaiah Institute of Technology Placements at MS Ramaiah Institute of Technology are decent overall, with stronger outcomes for CS-related branches and moderate but reliable opportunities for core branches like Chemical Engineering. ???? Placement Eligibility Students generally become eligible for campus placements from the 7th semester (final year). Some companies also allow pre-placement offers (PPOs) through internships after the 6th semester. ???? Companies Visiting the Campus ???? Common Recruiters (Across Branches) TCS Infosys Wipro Accenture Cognizant Capgemini IBM L&T Deloitte (limited roles) ???? Core / Chemical-Related Opportunities L&T Reliance (limited roles) Schneider Electric Saint-Gobain Some manufacturing, quality, and operations-based companies Core chemical companies visit in limited numbers, so many Chemical Engineering students also sit for IT, analytics, and operations roles. ???? Packages Offered (Approximate) ???? Salary Range Highest Package (overall): ~?40–50 LPA (off-campus / international offer, mostly CS) Highest for Core / Chemical roles: ~?8–10 LPA Average Package (overall): ?7–8 LPA Average for Chemical Engineering: ?4–6 LPA ???? Job Profiles Graduate Engineer Trainee (GET) Process / Quality Engineer Analyst / Consultant Software Engineer (for interested students) ???? Placement Percentage Overall placement rate: ~90–95% Chemical Engineering: ~60–70% Students with good CGPA, internships, and skills tend to get placed earlier and in better roles. ???? Employability & Skill Development The college provides: Placement training sessions Aptitude and soft-skill workshops Coding and interview preparation support However, students are expected to upskill on their own, especially for core industry roles or higher-paying profiles. ???? My Plans After Completing the Degree After completing my B.E. in Chemical Engineering, I plan to: Gain industry experience through campus placement or off-campus opportunities
