Union Christian College and life around it

Dislikes

  • There was nothing I disliked about this college

Course Curriculum Overview :

The course I chose was zoology and it includes both theoretical classes and practical classes and it teaches us the most relevant topics and really trains us for the real life situations we might face when we start working as a zoologist. The curriculum is very deep and covers almost all important topics of the subject

Internships Opportunities :

My course has a internship at the Cochin University of Science and Technology where they train us for a medical testing lab for a week and it was a very helpful and informative internship and we were allowed to realise the reality of our course in that one week

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

If your course is an aided course you do not have to pay tuition fee, the only fee you will have to pay is the exam fee which is collected every semester end. For self financing courses the fees is around 12,000 and there are no hikes in fees structures and the fee stays constant throughout the 3 years. There are different types of scholarships and E-grants available to eligible students as well

Campus Life :

The overall life at the campus is very calm blissful and socially promising, students from all courses gather around forming vast variety of friendships and everlasting bonds making the whole campus a huge family and nobody is allowed to feel left out of anything in the college. There are sports teams and drama teams in the college providing for the extra curricular activities.

Admission :

The admission was a hasslefree process and was easily carried out by the office staff and the forms are available in the college website and we must also apply in the mg university central allotment process and there is college admission helpdesks where the students of the college help out new students with the admission process

Faculty :

The faculty at uc college are highly qualified and experienced, their mode of interaction is very good and are very patient and careful in making sure the topics are understood and clear for all the students in the class, a student can approach the faculty at any time of the day to get the topics clear and understood. The faculty are very friendly and always at an arm's reach for help

Course Curriculum Overview:

If we talk about curriculum, it is pretty much good. It includes things that should be brought in front of students and that help to improve the student's basic knowledge of these topics. From this year onwards the usual 3 year degree has changed and now it is four years with an honors degree.
