Course Curriculum Overview

4

Honestly, this subject was not my choice, I got this based on whatever rank I got through JEE MAINS. Initially, I found Electronics to be a very difficult course. Some subjects were my least favourites but anyhow I managed to maintain my CGPA. I feel the study we do is more marks-oriented and we do not gain much practical knowledge. This is where I feel improvement needs to be made. The faculty should rely more on real-time applications which would help us to crack competitive exams. Overall some subjects are very interesting also. What I love the most is the exam pattern. The timings of the mid-sem and end-sem is just perfect. The difficulty level of the exam just depends on subject to subject.

Placement Experience

3.5

Students can get internship offers in the third year itself which can be converted to PPOs. Actual placements start from the fourth year. the companies start coming as soon as the fourth year gets started. Various companies visit our campus, depending on various branches like DBOI, VISA, Wipro, JIO, Mahindra, TVS, GE Healthcare, and many more providing a decent package. The highest package updated is 55LPA and the average package the company offers is 8LPA. I plan to secure a good placement from the college and maybe pursue a master's in MBA.

Fees and Financial Aid

I feel tuition fees were never a problem, especially for the student belonging to the category the tuition fees is just nil. Till now there has been no hike in the tuition fees. The complete cost of education including every other thing varies from category to category. For the General category yearly the fee is almost Rs.1,50,000 for the OBC category is Rs. 1,15,000 and for SC-ST it is Rs.75,000. There are many scholarship programs also available for economically weaker sections and for students performing exceptionally great in academics.

Campus Life

4

There are many clubs and committees present in our college sp every time events and activities are going on. But the actual main cultural fest starts in October starting with the events SHRUTI organized by RAAGA club. And it goes on till late January with celeb nights and cultural nights with ECLECTICA. The infrastructure is overall decent. We have a decent library also. Books can be issued monthly. Each classroom is equipped with smart boards. There is a committee itself which organizes sports events. There are many interesting social clubs and committees to take part in which are a lot to learn from.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

One thing which I don't like about the college is the hostel accommodation is based on how well you are scoring in academics. If you are maintaining a good CGPA then only you get the hostel. Otherwise, people need to stay outside in PGs and private hostels. As obvious the food is not of great quality. Very few times it is good and other times it is not good. the menu doesn't change for a long time. The hostel fees are much more than the facility it provides I feel. The washrooms are not cleaned the way it should be. There are many PGs available nearby the college, So it is not something to worry about.

Admission

The course is eligible only through JOSAA and CSAB counseling by giving JEE MAINS. Students interested in engineering must give JEE MAINS and ADVANCED conducted by NTA. After qualifying for the cutoff students have to go through a counseling procedure and according to the percentile they have got, they will be allotted the best college according to their ranks. There are reservation benefits in every government institutions so don't need to worry about that. Just the fact that students need to choose among 300+ colleges without having any knowledge about any is the con in the admission procedure.

Faculty

3.5

The faculty varies from department to department. Like the faculty of CS and IT branches I feel are comparatively more chill and most importantly cooperative. Compared to the ECE department I feel the faculty is very strict and a bit less cooperative. The teachers are quite qualified and have vast knowledge. The subject is itself very difficult so some teachers teach very well and some are just marks-oriented. We must interact with the teachers thoroughly to be in their good books and some even guide and help a lot regarding further studies and doubts. Overall I must say there can be more improvement in the faculty.

Other Applied Colleges

VIT AP | B-tech CSE

Because I was unsure if I will get any IITs or NITs because till that time my fourth attempt was not done.

Placement Experience:

Final year students are eligible to appear for campus placements which starts towards the end of their 7th semester. Companies that visited for Civil Engineering: L&T, Adani, Stratview Research, PlanetSpark and several local firms. The highest packages were offered by Adani (approx 7 LPA) and L&T (6-7 LPA). Around 5-7 students received placement offers from the mentioned companies. It is important to note that a lot many students did not sit for campus placements as they had different career aspirations (government jobs, higher education, business ventures etc.) My plans were to prepare for upcoming competitive government exams as well as try my hand at something different and creative

1. Students from seventt semester and onwards are eligible for the campus placements. 2. There are ample numbers of comapnies visited in our college like schneider electric, bpcl, bhel, bhel, reliance, catterpillar, eil, and so on. As per the last year data around 130 comapnies made in to our campus and they offered around 800 plus offers to various studenst of different departments. 3. The highets package offered this year is 60 lakhs that is offered by DE Shaw and average package is something around 11 laks per annum 4. Taking considerations of students of all departments, almost 70 percent students get placed. 5. Presently my plan after getting degree is to get into a job.

Microtex, HCL, Wipro and many other IT companies gives us research projects and also their work as well. So, we basically have indirectly worked for them and the ones they feel can add more to their organization comes with a clear mind and take us with a package that we expect them to. So, placements are purely on performance as those who perform well are given best of placements.
