IIIT Dharwad- Worth it

My college has three branches which are booming in the industry right now. I am from data science and artifical intelligence branch with will certainly grown in the next decade in various field. I personally choose this course because of iiit tag and branch provided. The plus point of this college is curriculum in case of academics is quite good and industry oriented, but ya it can always be improved. There are 2 exams in 1 semester, first is mid sem and the other is end sem. Apart from that quizzes and projects are also there which are included in grades

Off campus internship can be applied with the skills you posses, and many inhouse projects are also avaliable for the students who are interested. I personally have not applied for any internship yet but this is what i came to know from seniors.

It's fees is quite high as compared to government colleges. Basically it goes up to 16,00,000 rupees including the hostel and mess facilites. but the fest and other extracurricular provided is not on the same page as the fees charged. Scholarships are not given from college but can be provided by government both central and state which college help us to know. In house internship are provided by faculties.

My campus life is good because of the friends I made. To be honest thic college focuses more on academics as compared to other activites. There are manily two fests, better to call them as events which takes place in a year. But slowly it is developing due to the urge of students. Library is decent but quite small. Senoirs are quite helpful and the environment in the college is good. Mainly cultural clubs were not that active before but now they are becoming active. Technical clubs are quite active and conducts events also. This college is good in sports providing you oppotunities to participate in events like inter-iiit, etc.

Hostel facilities are decent are it's registration takes place during the time of academics registration only. Mess food is not that good but eatable. There is one girls and one boys hostel and in 1 room is shared by 3 girls and 1 room is shared by 4 boys respectively. Mostly it's mandatory to stay in hostel unlike extreme cases to deal of.

Admission takes place with the help of JEE-MAINS score, and the counselling is conducetd by JOSAA and Csab. The candidate should cross a certain cutoff and usually the cutoff for this college is low as compared to nits and top iiits as this college is still in it's developing stage. Reservation is available and can be checked on josaa website.

Most of the faculties are phd graduates and are quite good in their field. But students to faculty raation is not that good it varies from 60:1 TO 30:1 which sometimes i feel as a disadvantage as it can be better off according to the fees charged. However, help provided and appoachability to teachers is kind of easy, they are always ready to help you in any aspect. Classes are fun and knowledgeable both i fell.
