Course Curriculum Overview

4

All the courses in this college have resulted out in the excellence of placing students in various companies. I choosed Information Technology and i was aware about the fact that the faculty is quite supportive. you will face real world challenges in the course you choose with the availiable technology, demo sessions, ppt sessions, meeting sessions. exam ih held in two phases per semester, the midterms and end terms. you need to score good in mid terms to easily score more marks in end terms.

from 3rd year or 5th semester a student becomes eligible for sitting in placement. one must have atleast one intership done along with its certificate and then you are eligible to sit in placements. many companies has visited in our college from previous 2-3 years like amazon, nvidia, google, accenture, zs associates and many more. The highest package of NIT Srinagar is 36 lakhs/annum and the average package is 10 lakhs per annum 80-90% students yearly gets placement oncampus and offcampus from which 70 percent belongs to oncampus and 30 percent offcampus. I personally worked in Accenture as data analyst for the package of 7.5 lakhs gross and 6.5 lakhs in hands

For general/OBC-NCL/EWS category with income above 5 lakhs annually the tuition fee is 62,500 per semester, and for candidates of same category but with income between 1 to 5 lakhs annually, the tuition fee is 20,833 per semester, and for SC/ST there is no tuition fee. the complete cost of education for a student lies between 3-7 lakhs for four years which varies on your backog fee, your tuition fee, hostel and mess fee , late fee charges. Merit cum means scholarship: for poor and meritorious students.

Campus Life

4.5

There is an educational trip once in an year and they take you to any other college of university which provides vast learning experience for students. There is an annual festival where dancing , singing, stand up comedy and various talents are highlighted. library consists of books regarding technological advancements and the course related reality books, journals which almost every teacher and faculty member has researched on. There are smart classrooms for providing more interactive experience for students and laboratories have advanced appliances for performing experiments. large number of sports activites takes place including inter college , inter district and inter state level competitons.

Admission

for getting admission in NIT srinagar, you have to give JEE mains exam and you should have qualified your category based cutoff or your marks sould be near to cutoff marks. You have to check JOSAA website for choice filling of colleges according to your priority. Then your name would be shortlisted and a college will be allotted to you. after that again going of JOSAA website you need to freeze or float your seat in college. freeze means to confirm and float means to again get shortlisted in another list of candidates in hope of another college. after that you have to go through document verification process which is held in any of the nearest college or university in your city. once done with document verification, you will have to go to college and there admission process takes place. talking your application form that you get after document verification along with income and required certificates mentioned on JOSAA website. the process is good and no improvement is needed

Faculty

4.5

The faculty is quite supportive as the faculty includes professors from across all states and the learning experience is quite good. Some local professors don't seem to be much bothered towards students, but overall the learning experience is very good. The faculty to student ratio is about 1:3 and i would say my learning experience was quite good. Faculty members are highly qualified as some of them have their names registered in the top professors across the country. if you get backlog in some exam, teachers give their best to support you and if you maintain contact with them, they definitely help you get of any kind of trouble related to studies.
