Likes

College Ground is very big and spacious.
Lab faculties in the college is very good and assistants are well knowledged.
Sports and culturals conducted are pretty good.

Dislikes

Location of the college is very far from the town.
Some teachers are very bad at teaching certain subjects.
Internships are not directly provided by the college.

Course Curriculum Overview

The aspect to choose the course is the national level accreditation available for the course here.Even though curriculum prepares the students for real world application pretty poor. The curriculum is extremely difficult and hard to score in the exams.

Placement Experience

Students are eligible for campus placement from seventh semester. Various companies comes to the campus and hire the talented students through the campus placement program.Companies such as BYJU's,Vipro,TCS,etc have participated in placement program in our college.

Fees and Financial Aid

Tution fee is increased rapidly every year when a new batch is started. For the education, a total of Eighty four Thousand rupees is cost.The financial pressure can be reduced thorugh applying for the scholarships such as PCM scholarship, MCM scholarship, etc.

Campus Life

Various club such as literature club is active. Several agencies such as IEEE, IEDC is also active in the campus which helps to develop new entrepreneurs and talented engineers.Campus also provides lab facilities. A very big football ground is present for sports and extracurricular activities.

Admission

Application form to apply is available in the campus office. An amount of 500 is to be paid as application fees which I quite don't like at all .Eligibility of the course is to pass either KEAM or JEE exams.

Faculty

The faculty to students ratio is 1:46 upto 1:50.It impacts pretty much as there is considerably less number of students in the class so that the teachers can give attention to the whole students.The overall teaching approach of the teachers and faculty members is decent. Students can interact with teachers any time.

IIIT KOTTAYAM - a Honest review

Placement Experience:

As seniors said the average package is around 10lpa.If you have descent skills and above 8 cgpa you will get this average package. If you upskill yourself with effort which many students do here then you can also get above 15lpa which many seniors got.The highest package was off-campus by an ECE Student in Google despite having cgpa around 6.He had very good skills as a full stack developer.

Placement Experience:

The placements here are quite good, but not great. Because only 50% of students in a class are getting placed. From S7 onwards the placements have been started for our department. But for other departments, from S8 only companies have arrived. For CSE department, many companies are coming which include Cognizant, SOTI, Mitsogo, EY, 6D Technologies, etc. Our senior batch students have placed at many companies in this. But comparing with other senior batches, the placements at our batch is really bad.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The length of course curriculum is very short. It is very difficult for both students and teachers to complete the syllabus in limited time period.The exam timing are also very conjusted and students are facing many difficulties because of it .

IIST - A good campus to live but with high restrictions.

Placement Experience:

The campus placement is there in the campus.A lot of companies visit to the campus. From this year more private companies are visiting because of the breaking of bond with ISRO due to which students are getting good package.

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for placement from the 7th semester and internship from 3rd semester. You can apply for internship on your own right from first semester but college gives aid from 3rd semester. The major recruiter is ISRO which offers 40-45 jobs for aerospace engineering. Also other companies like CDac Airbus Boeing and DRDO and HAL visit for recruitment. Nearly 85-90% students get placed while some opt for Higher education and research too. My primary goal is to get into ISRO also I will be preparing for gate examination to complete my IIT dream.

MEA engineering college review

I choose this college because it near by my house and I always wanted go there . I applied for mea engineering college and computer science and I got the same college but different stream that is IT. Which is also good. They rejected because first I got a college in Kollam and rejected because it too far. And next allotment I got my second priority college. The admissions process actually nice. Not tireding first I apply for management seat then I got merit Quota. For management quota you have to qualify lean exam and for merit quota you should get the allotment and lean procedures....Read More
