I m from political science department and our teachers guide us in every possible way our college and required book are their in our department library and we get chance to build our confidence (seminar conducted by our professor in class).

It's too good . And very helpful for people whos optional will be PSIR in UPSC . And not only in political science but also in geography and other subjects as well it's in all subject they are help full for many competitive exam.

Fees and Financial Aid

Our fees structure is affordable and our college provide free admission to students. We have one scholarship for all the students including general,obc sc,st. We have to pay fees twice in a year(per semester) it's below 6000.

Campus Life

In the starting months I enjoyed a lot in college we our college organize college week We also have NSS unit (selected candidates get chance to go to camps in different places. But after crossing one year you will have to focus more on studies because next we have to appear in entrance exam for higher studies.

Admission

I didnot give any entrance exam. Admission is done on the basis of marks obtain in Class12 for. bachelor's degree and class10marks for admission in class11 . It's merit system. Our college is affiliated to Guwahati University.

Good and helpful in studies and we can also share our thoughts with them they try to solve our problems they also guide us and encourage us for our higher studies, confidence building. With semester books they also say that we should also read novels and books which will help in critical thinking.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The institution provides a vast syllabus prescribed according to the courses . I did hons in english so in my field I had to study a vast syllabus ranging from ancient greek and roman literature to modern dramas The English course consists of poems, dramas, novels, novellas and many other. The course or syllabus is varies with different stage of semester or year In the first semester we had study the follows Greek literature and epic Roman literature Early indian literature In the second semester Roman literature Indian literature In the third semester Popular literature British literature American literature ....... The proficiency of students is checked in the exams where in the first sessional the level of questions remain easy Moderate to difficult in the second sessional and increases the level of difficulty with the progression of semesters If I will talk about the pros of the course It gives an insight of to the vastness of the world of literature which helps the students in different fields. It gives an opportunity to study different stories written by different writers from different countries and helps in to learn the culture, language, society, polity and the history of a particular period of literature movement. It also helps the students to think critically and creatively to utilise it in the real life scenarios. There are also some cons of this course It's vastness can sometimes make students burnt out completely due to the vastness of the course and the limited time frame where you have to cover everything from poems, novels with 300 pages to seminars , internships

Teachers should be cut slack to maintain their mental health. They are not provided enough rest. The exam schedule are not at all managed properly. It is quite hectic and students fail to cope up with it

I didn't make it there because the course I wanted to study was not there . The admission process is merit based . I applied for EFLU (Shillong Campus), Central University of Karnataka, Tezpur University, Gauhati University and Dibrugarh University and some of their affiliated colleges like Darrang College, DHSK College and many more. I did get pass through the merit lists of Karnataka, Darrang and DHSK.
