What Students Say

Likes

The infrastructure is unique as compared to other college.
There are a lot of societies and clubs in all domains to explore.
The campus is open and are allowed to roam after 1400hrs.

Dislikes

The placement is very low as compared to what is expected.
The academics are sometimes more theroetical than practical.
The teachers , (some), are very rude and try to force students to do study unnecessarily for marks

Course Curriculum Overview

The course is good but the only thing lacking is placement, this college lacks its placement, maybe due to its location or due to preference in IP university I'm not sure but it does lack in providing placement opportunities.

Placement Experience

As I said previously, the placement is not at all upto the mark, it need to be improved right now as students having a lot of potential are going for off campus and the collge is using it to do their own marketing, companies come merely.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees is decent as compared to a private engineering college but they do not use this money to invest in recreational activities like freshers party or farewell, they are organised by student groups only who charge 1000 per person.

Campus Life

The social life is one of the only good and best part of the collge, it provides access to a lot of people through clubs and societies and classrooms. All the clubs are very active and help one develp their personality.

Admission

I got admitted by IP university councelling, one can also opt for management admission but that is a bit costly. I got this from my jee rank and no reservation, as per my preference filled in the councelling.

Faculty

The no. of faculty is decent but the amount of classes is just designed in such a way that it makes a student tired after two or three classes, some teachers teach meaningless things that does not even help in exams and only make students lose their confidence.

From Classrooms to Campus ; my dtu journey

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would say the course curriculum at DTU is quite relevant and comprehensive. The reason I chose this course was the mix of strong fundamentals in the first year—like Maths, Physics, Chemistry, and Programming—followed by department-specific core and elective courses that allow some flexibility and specialization. The curriculum gives a solid foundation for both real-world applications and further studies, especially through hands-on projects and lab work. That said, some areas could be improved, like including more industry exposure, internships, and practical case studies to bridge theory and real-world problems. Exams happen twice a semester (mid-terms and end-terms) and include assignments and projects as part of evaluation. While most exams are manageable if you keep up with the coursework, a few subjects can be challenging, and preparation is key to avoid surprises.

NIT Delhi: A Balanced Blend of Academics, Opportunities, and Campus Life

Placement Experience:

The annual placements at NIT Delhi are consistently getting better year by year where the top branches such as CSE, ECE, and IT are leading the way with their strong placement rates. Many students get hired at very attractive salaries by well-established companies like TCS, Infosys, Cognizant, Microsoft, and Amazon. For example, the CTC of the best offers have reached as high as ?15–20 LPA in some instances. The Mechanical, Civil, and Electrical branches also contribute to the university’s overall placement record to some extent. Those students usually boost the available opportunities for themselves by taking up internships and off-campus offers. Moreover, the students who fail to get a job on the campus can still benefit out of the college atmosphere where the strong basics of coding, projects, and practical skills are taught which makes the students quite employable at startups, off-campus, or even when going for higher studies like M.Tech/GATE/abroad. To sum up, NIT Delhi is a very solid foundation for the students whether they want to have a career or continue with their education.

Great Placements but Campus needs improvements

Placement Experience:

After 3rd year students become eligible for campus placements. Almost 90% students gets placed. The top companies are Amazon, Apple, Microsoft, Google and Adobe. The highest package is 53 lacks and the average package is 20 lacs. I plan to become a software engineer after i complete my course or study further.

A decent college

Placement Experience:

Placements are good. Students get hired, obviously, and they get a decent package. Highest package from our college is 52 LPA. Average package is 7-8 LPA. Highest package off campus is 1.2 Cr. Per annum.

Walking you through ADGIPS

I applied to IPU counselling through JEE mains. I didn't have many options but I was getting HMR university, Echleon institute of technology, Guru teg Bahadur 4th centenary college, etc. I chose this college because among other IP colleges it has a better placement ratio and good environment and crowd. I wanted colleges like Maharaja agrasen institute of technology, maharaja surajmal institute of technology, bhartiya vidhyapeeth which comes on top of IPU rank list but due to my JEE rank was not able to get it but I'm still content with what I have. To get into my college u need to have a JEE rank around 4L for Tech branches and 6-7 L for other branches like Ece, Me etc. Admission experience was fine IPU delays the process alot but it was still manageable so overall fine...Read More

An okay choice if you want a GGSIPU govt. degree

I honestly didn't want to go to a private college , that was never my first choice even my last choice also but with my jee mains rank that was around one lakh ninety thousand I couldn't get any of the nits or some government college.The reason I chose this college because this college is affiliated to GGSIPU (guru gobind singh indraprastha university), so the degree is a government recognized one which can be valuable in the future.This was one of the main factor for me in the finalizing this college.
