Course Curriculum Overview
Curriculum is very industry oriented and extensive. It helps in expanding our knowledge and expertise in the field. We have enough practicals in laboratory to learn about performing practicals and experiments. We have two mid semesters and one final semester exam, the 2 mid semesters does get hectic to manage normal study schedule especially during even semesters.
Internships Opportunities
Our faculty and staff members do keep updating us about the internship opportunities in multiple companies and colleges which we can pursure in our vacations. We can take long term internships as well in 7th and 8th semesters.
Placement Experience
From 6th semester students become eligible for campus placements. We opt for TPP (placement training program) in 4th/5th semester that helps us prepare for placements exams and interviews. In food technology a few companies have visited the college. Since the branch was started only in 2016 or 2017, there have been a limited number of placements only in the field, maximum package being of 18 lakhs to minimum package of 3 lakhs. Most students who want to opt for campus placements do almost get placed in or off the campus. My personal plans after the degree is pursuing MBA in marketting, still I have kept the option for placements open.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees is around 90,000. We have the opportunities to crack scholarships based on a CUCAT entrance test, where we can avail scholarship upto 50%. Students who are joining bachelor's just after 12th, can avail 50% scholarship if they have above 90% marks in 12th.
Campus Life
Social life is A class in Chandigarh University, but only if you are a participative person. Multiple events and club activities keep happening all throughout the year. There are a number of clubs from academics to co curricular that we can be a part of. University encourages us to participate on national and international levels as well.
Admission
Admission process was easy. They give us 2 chances to appear for CUCAT which is an admission test. Application fees for CUCAT back in 2022 was ?1000. No improvements needed in admission process. There are a number of councellors to help in the admission process
Faculty
Faculty are very top notch, friendly and knowledgeable. There are around 5 faculty who teaches our branch of around 35 students. They are available to help us all the time. Their knowledge and experience is commendable.
