My colleg life in Gec Palakkad

Curriculum was not upto the mark. Just wasting time in theories which not at all needed in your career life. In my pov there should be practicals not labs the real world scenarios which will help students to tackle any problem.

From semester 5 you become eligible for placements. Qburst, speridian, and many others visited. You have option for off-campus placements too means companies that don't apply through college which we need to apply ourselves. From my department around 30 students got placed.

Tuition fee increased gradually every year by 1000 or 2000. There were bus charges , maintenance charges. They also provide scholarships based on income and generaly on caste system. The placements at my time was just fine only not that good due to covid. But I got placed.

They conduct daksha for arts fest, invento as tech fest , sports take place many have gone to university , state level, nationals too. Clubs are there like IEEE, dance, music, etc. Student politics is there.

I took private hostel which was around 4k per month. Food quality was not good . The distance was around 100 m from college . The rest facilities were good . The name of the hostel was sarovaram. The timing was till 8pm.

For this course I took Keam engineering for which you need to pass 12th with maths off course. The exam was not that difficult just the number of questions were high. At my time maths was conducted on one day and physics and chemistry on the other day.

The faculty members were OK to nice they help students to get some dreams and career, they encourage students to participate. But their too practical knowledge lack behind. Some show partiality but rest are superb.
