A students review from University of Delhi

I really used to love mathematics so I chose this program and I really like the curriculum of the program it was like all in depth knowledge curriculum and with the main course Delhi University provides with generic elective in which you can study other area of interest as well which is really good thing. Then in final year different options of courses are provided so a student can choose what's best for them accordingly so it really prepares you for your future.. For the area of improvement I think more group discussions and presentations should be there. Exam frequency and timings are really good. There are good gaps between each semester and internals are also taken 2 to 3 times and the best out of all marks are taken which is a nice thing and provide you with enough chances to improve and score Better.

Companies like PlanetSpark and countryedu provided internship and job roles in the college campus And this year mostly companies were providing the sales and management and marketing roles. Not much diversity were given in internship and job opportunities but most of them were providing the internships with stipend of 4k to 8k a month and job were around 2.5 lpa to 4.5 lpa.

Tuition fees for University of Delhi is the affordable fees I have ever heard of. Like really they teach you under 10 thousand for maths honours each year. I really loved fees structure of University of Delhi, anyone can study in such affordable amount. My course is B.Sc hons mathematics and each year we have to pay around 10 thousand as tuition fees and 1 thousand for the examination fees and other charges including maintenance and other charges are around. 6 hundred per year so it approximate around 11,600 per year which is approximately around 35 thousand for the whole course which is I think so much affordable. I don't really no the name of scholarships and financial aid but there are various aids for people with disabilities, people from north east, reserved categories and for students from financially weak background which makes it include everyone and support them to study. Campus does have placement cell and companies visit and provide with the job opportunities and internships

There are many annual fest and different colleges under Delhi University has different fests like my college which is shyama Prasad Mukherji has annual fest names Srijan tgese annual fest generally takes place from February to May wach tear. Other festivals of University of Delhi includes flower fest and festivals for different cultures like for uttrakhand they have a fest where they promote uttrakhand culture. Books are generally available for everyone in college library and anyone can take it following some basic procedures like mentioning there course and other details to library . Sports and extracurricular activities are highly promoted at college campus and are really good . Students run a lot of social groups and clubs including clubs of different States which represents their state and people can join particular club accordingly . Clubs including common interests and likes, Which is really good and positively impact a student, students can meet like minded people there

The basic eligibility of the course was to have mathematics in your 11th and 12th class and should have scored more than 60% overall. Application form is available in site of University of Delhi , and could be found and filled easily through their website. Reservations are made for physically disabled, backward categories, people from weak financial backgrounds (Ews), and for northeast people. All these details are mentioned on the website only. Exams are scheduled really nicely and the difficulty I would say is a little more than average but if someone has prepared nicely it could be passed easily. I think the only problem I had with the admission process was to have a common test for admission as different boards have different difficulty levels which makes it a little unfair, but now the University of Delhi conducts a common entrance test for admission sp it's a good thing.

In my batch which was COVID batch (2021-2024) there were a lot of students in a section like 99 students in my class and there were no separate batches that is 99 students in a class. Each subject was taught by different teacher but still I feel it was really not upto the mark because obviously one teacher cannot look up for 99 students. I think there must be 2 sections in such case as teaching this much students in one batch is a lot. Teachers were quite interactive and tried to connect with all the students and will consider doubts of each student but still it is difficult for both teachers and students to interact in such big class.
