Likes

Some faculty of the college are great and some are not.
Opportunities are good and faculty solves students doubts.
But overall it was a nice experience being in a college.

Dislikes

There are not that much events in the college.
There is no ground for the playing purpose.
And the most important thing is college doesn't have any campus just a college building.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum is overall great. But it needs certain improvements like we still do coding on dosbox. Also the course curriculum is way too old. It needs many improvements like changing the syllabus and making it for this century.

Internships Opportunities

In third year students are provided with internship opportunities but they have to make it through on their own. I don't have that much information regarding this internship opportunities but they are also not that much.

Placement Experience

From 7 semester, students become eligible for the placements. TCS, Wipro, Infosys are some of the companies which are visited in the college. The highest package was 7 lpa and lowest was 4 lpa. Due to recession, many students are not placed right now.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees are approximately 1 lakhs rs. But if you are from reserved category then you might avail scholarships upto 16k depending upon your caste and category like SC, ST, VJ, NT, OBC etc. If your father has income over 1 lakhs then unfortunately no scholarship.

Campus Life

The cultural fest is held in October but there are not much focus on fests and extra curricular activities. Because college doesn't even have a campus. On the gathering, we have to go to other grounds for playing various games.

Admission

Admission process was quite simple. You can get admission through MHTCET or JEE Percentile. I got admission through MHTCET. You can also avail reservation benefits respectively if you are also from other state.

Faculty

It was somewhat great and somewhat not depending on the faculty. Some faculties are quite good with doubt resolving and some don't even care about you and don't even teach properly. That's it, it is upto you how you take them.

Placement Experience:

From 7th Sem, students are eligible for placements and undergo placement training. Many companies has visited so far but the big ones are Godrej, BEL, Framatome, etc. The highest package for mechanical was 7.5 LPA and the avg package was around 5 LPA with a majority of job roles as GET. SIT is best engineering college of Pune!!

Placement Experience:

If one wants direct placements in comapnies such as Wipro, Cognizant, Hexaware, TCS and many more, SIT is the place. Highest is still unbeatable as one student in 2023 got a paycheck of 50 lakhs per annum from SIT. Even the average is over 10 lakhs now as most students are placed through SIT placements cell.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum is also good and it is explained in detail on the college's website and there are labs for the courses which made learning fast and easy. Relevance(industry alignment)->8/10 The curriculum is designed to keep up with the industry needs especially in fast growing fields like computer science, management, design and pharmacy. Updated course such as AI, machine learning, cybersecurity, data science and 3D printing are included for tech students. Industry exposure depends on the students initiative it's not equally strong in every department. Comprehensiveness-> 7.5/10 First year courses focus on building strong basics in science, mathematics and communication skills. Datta meghe is moderate tier 3 college, i choose this college because it is near my home and my cousin also studied from this college it is good . I am trying for VIT Mumbai which my aim to get but cut off of this college is high. I got this college through Mhtcet exam, and yes I opted for other college too but the cutoff for branch i wanted was too high in other college so i had to take admission in DMCE. talking about the admission process you can take admission through 2 ways: Official goverment rounds or management rounds. Majority of students take admission from cap round which accepts both Mhtcet and JEE examination. 90% of students get admission by Mhtcet exam. i have applied for many ot the colleges like somaiya, vjti, dy patil but my percectile was no that good for those colleges thats why i choose datta meghe college and my travelling time also becomes less my admission process was they basically look for your cet and java percentile the candidatemust have passed class 12 with subjects like phy chem and maths for direct second yr admission candidate should have a diploma in enginnering or technology with a minimum of 45% admission process is step 1: apply for mht cet or jee main.step2: appear for the exam.step3:after the exam results ,participate in the centralized admission by the Directorate of technical education maharashtra. step4: for mht cet ,based on the rank and preferences the DTE college will allot seats in various eng collegs including datta meghe college step 5: after seat allotmnet candidates need to verify documents and pay the admission fees to cinfirm the seat...Read More
