Admission
There are two ways of taking admission in Delhi University in Undergraduate courses: Merit-based Entrance Exam Merit-Based: Merit-based admissions are offered for almost all Language, Humanities, Commerce and Science courses. Students need to fill in the online form at the Delhi University website during the month of May- June every year. Once the 12th board results are announced candidates must upload their mark sheet on to the online portal. A key consideration here is a calculation of Best of Four Marks. Once cut-offs are announced students need to visit the college in person to take admission if their best of four marks are equal to or above the required cut off marks. Different colleges have different cutoffs for the same courses. The top ranking colleges at times have cut-offs as high as 98–99%. That said there are more realistic cutoffs too. So don’t panic if you don’t clear cut-offs at the first go for your desired college. There is generally a fall in 2–5% marks in the subsequent cutoffs. Entrance Based Exam: Delhi University conducts DUJAT or Delhi University Joint Admission Test is held in the month of June usually. This year it is being held on 22 June 18. It is for admission to popular courses such as Bachelor of Management Studies, Bachelor of Business Administration (Financial Investment Analysis) and B.A.(Hons) Business Economics. DUJAT can be a savior if you have not scored in the ’90s but still want to get into a top college such College of Business Studies. You simply need to prepare well for this exam which covers Quantitative ability, Reasoning, and Analytical Ability, General English and Business and General Awareness.
