The college is good with great environment near digholi pukhuri
Here seniors teachers are really friendly even meeting new people
I started to open up myself more where I couldn't do in my school life it has given lots of opportunities to open up my talents

Dislikes

Toilets are really dirty i specially feel like is should be more sanitised as it's a girl's college
The college infrastructure is getting very old
Canteen food is little unhygienic and the campus is very small

Course Curriculum Overview

I'm from economics dept and i really like the faculty of this dept their teaching style everything is so perfect and encourages me study more in this course or in field of economics they prepare us so well for pursuing further courses on economics

Fees and Financial Aid

As of government college the fee structure is quiet good and specially with the scholarship it has reduced much pressure on students who economically not able to afford it and overall exams fees are very high which sometimes make it difficult for the some students to pay that amount

Campus Life

Every festival is being celebrated very beautifully recently we are having bihu also which is good idea to make some time from daily life of studies and enjoy for moment even their college week was also very fun ???? students could participate in every field whichever they are good at

Admission

The cutoff marks are 90% 86% 80% and with the reservation system it for ST it 70 to 80% and Obc category 80% 86% minimum . The admission process was overall good only like it's systematic where it should be probably don't know much as my father went but overall it was good

As I mentioned the teachers are nice they teach each an every line properly if you find difficulty to understand they try to teach it in your native language also which is I feel like good and they like to interact with the students to share our views thoughts apart from studies they us a chance to explore ourselves

No it based on merit basis from your class 12th boards as other colleges universities holds cuet as criteria for admission but here it fully merit basis but for cuet please focus some general knowledge

My thoughts about my college

Likes

Faculty members of our college is very good
The thing i like that teacher in our college use projector to teach us
In our college, the students get to join various seminars, which college authorities provide us with time to time

Dislikes

The main thing which i disliked about our college is that our college campus is small if you compare it with other colleges
In our college we dont have clean toilets, and the toilets smells very bad
The next thing is that there were various construction going on in our college so for now thr college environment is healthy enough for a student to perform

Course Curriculum Overview:

As i want to appear for civil services examinations in future, so for me political science subject is helpful for my future career, in our department out faculty trach us in a decent manners, but there are some improvements needed with time

Likes

I liked the overall environment of our college
My department (Geography) Faculty members are very good.
The teachers not only help in academics but also guide us for our better well-being.

Dislikes

Construction is going on in the college campus.
Though it has gain the autonomous tag still didn't get any such benefit.
The toilets are very unhygienic and have very bad odour.

Our course is very easy to understand anyone who is new to this branch or doesn't have any idea about geography can easily understand the topics through the guidance of our faculty members. They provide extra classes for better understanding of the students.

When I saw a professor doing the hypnotize process. The curriculum activities are much help to the future or the present generation. For the course curriculum, it is huge so deep explanation is required. No problem in this aspect.

I like the way the teachers of our department interact with us. They are very friendly. The campus is very good. We had sitting place for students to sit and relax when they don't have classes. We had a good playground.
The students of silapathar college are quite wonderful, friendly, helpfull.

Dislikes

Things I don't like about my college is , the principal of our college is quite rude, doesn't interact with the students. He don't even allow to enter to his office.

I choose English literature because I want to study literature, wants to study more about people. In our department there are very few students, 60% are girls and 40% are boys. We had four teachers in our department, namely, DR. PUBALI BORA KASHYAP (Qualification: M.A, Ph.D., UGC- NET), PREM PRASAD SHARMA (Qualification: M.A, M.PHIL), Gitima Deka (Qualification: M.A., M.PHIL), Raju Pegu (Qualification: M.A, M.PHIL). The teachers take tests continuously.

For admission, anyone who has passed his/her 10+2 in any stream can apply by going to the online admission portal(website) but at the time of mine, there was no such facility so We use to go college and apply directly by filling the form(paper-based).

It's very nice. I really liked it.

Remarks:

Overall, I'd say college is very good. It is one of the finest colleges in the state. I came from elsewhere to study at this college and I don't regret my decision. I made many new friends and now I am used to the environment so it will be difficult for me to leave this place.

Handique Girls College: A student's Vision!

I applied for many colleges apart from this one but I couldn't get into the other colleges I got a chance in handique girls' college therefore I chose it. The colleges I applied for has very good campus than handique girls college and more reputation. I couldn't make it to other colleges because of my marks my marks were lesser than required for the other colleges. The admission process of my college is that you have to apply in samarth portal then on a specific date the selected candidates name list will be provided. All you have to know about Handique Girls' college

I applied to cotton University and also DU.. I didn get in cotton ...but i got in DU with sociology..since i wanted to go for psychology, I didnt go to DU. I didn't make it to Cotton because of cut off marks. Getting into psychology is really tough especially in this generation where people are more aware about mental health. The cut off was really high 96 % in cotton and Idk about DU it varies from clg to clg. The admission process in Handique girls' college is okayish. Runs smoothly. You just need to have necessary documents and also can ask the staff for any queries or doubts. For Handique the cut off is average. If you score above 90% you'll definitely get admission in psychology. Bu then again the cut off varies every year. This year political science cut off was very high in every college.
