Honest College Experience with NITW

Course curriculum focuses more on building concepts and sticking to the basics and letting students explore more in the fields they are really interested in while giving enough knowledge to make the exploring easier

A lot of companies visit the college but the ones I do remember are: Amazon, DE Shaw, Deliotte, ITC, Phonepe, Razorpay. the stipend per month varies from 20-30k a month to some companies paying one and half lakhs per month Usually companies offer internships in summer

At the start of 4th year that is start of 7th semester the placement season starts and companies start visiting college. Software and Core companies do visit the college every year and the typical average package tends to 12-14 Lakh per annum

-Fee structure: 62500 per semester for tuition fees 17500 per semester hostel fees 7500 extra fees for a year for clubs,library,gymnasium, etc. -Scholership: They give few top percentage of students in terms of CGPA full fee remission, half fee remission, quarter fee remission based on your rank. -Financial Assistance: 1. Students having family income below 1 lakh: no fees to be paid 2. Students having family income between 1 and 5 lakh: half of the fees to be paid 3. Students belonging to SC,ST catogories: No fees to be paid - Employment: Companies visit each year to hire students among Btech. Mtech etc.

2 fests are held each year. Technozian and SpringsSpree. College has a long list of 50 clubs to participate in. Books and journals have a lot of copies lying around. Library also provides digital library with access to high end PCs for students with AC

2nd years have to share room in 3 people. 3rd years have to share between 2 and 4th year boys get single room. The mess food is okayish. They charge upto 115 rupees a day. The hostel has no process. We have to pay fees online after selecting a room and that is it

-JEE Mains Score - We need to fill the form in Josaa and from there the admission process starts - Students belonging to OBC, SC,ST, PwD and Girls get the reservation benefits in the college. - JEE mains is held every year.

Most of faculties are PhDs. They have gained excellence over the subjects over the long period of teaching. They tend to explain the concepts and stick to more of realistic approach rather than making the students memorise the topics. Most of the faculties are approachable enough for students to gain a lot of knowledge.
