Remarks

I think this college will become again one of the best colleges in India as this college is making fast progress.

Entrance Preview

Because this is the only pure government college in Jharkhand with good strength and highly qualified faculties. Also, this college has a good reputation in Jharkhand and the course. I want to pursue was available based on the rank I got in the entrance so I joined the college. Also, this college is not far away from my home.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

The course curriculum is comparable to any NIT or IIT with best books referred of any subject which are also referred to in nits. Also, the faculties have done their post graduation from editor nits. The syllabus is updated to the latest one but there in each semester, you have to be taught at least 6 subjects or in some semester 5 subjects.

Internships Opportunities

No, but for some branches like mining and metallurgy Engg college provide summer internships to all the students with some small amount of stipend. This internship duration is of 15 to 20 days.

Placement Experience

3

Placements count vary as in some year 300+ placement is recorded but in the year 2016, only 150 students are placed out of 600. The average package varies from branch to branch but the highest package offered recently is of 25lac by Fiitjee coaching to only one student. And the lowest package is 3.5 lac offered to 43 students.

College Events

3.5

British- by art club every 3 years. Foy- by Leo club / every year. Sandhaan - tech fest by the model club / every year. British is a cultural fest and is a branch competition. In Canadian other colleges can also participate. In British we invite a special celebrity to our college for performance.

Fee Structure And Facilities

It is feasible by every ordinary man but os you come from a very poor family then our college gives scholarship also. The fee structure is 16000 per year. Also, the college changes its fees every year. As it is a government college you can't expect much higher fees either.

Fees and Financial Aid

Yes, E-Kalyan scholarship. Ever year this scholarship is provided but not to general candidate student.

Campus Life

3.5

The gender ratio is 8 boys to 1 girl. The labs are equipped with the latest equipment of Siemens. But some labs are still using the old 1970s equipment .sports club is there in the college to carry out all the sports-related activities. And also if any student is excellent in any sport then this is the best college for him.

Hostel Facilities

2.5

Hostel facility: 6/10. Mess facility: 5/10. The hostel provides each separate room yo each student only in the final year and sometimes only in the third year. This is because of huge strength of students as each year 650 students are admitted. Mess food also varies from mess to mess.

Alumni/Alumna

Yes, the alumni are helpful and they provide scholarships also. Seniors help in providing the books related guidance as faculties are not helpful in this.

Exam Structure

An exam is conducted at the end of every semester and there are a total of 8 semesters. An exam is conducted pen and paper based on 3-hour duration of each subject separate with a gap of 1 or 2 days between each subject. The results are displayed in CGPA. 10 CGPA is maximum.

Admission

I first qualified the entrance exam. I am from general category and in general cat you have to secure a good rank for getting the seat in this college. Then there is offline counseling held at Ranchi where you have locked the seats based on your choice and availability of the seat in respective branches. The seat is allocated based on your rank.

Faculty

2.5

Student to faculty ratio is good but you have to more rely on self-study and relying on faculties. Faculties are helpful in doubt solving but due to much holidays and vast syllabus, it is incomplete to cover the whole syllabus in each semester. The faculties also take the regular class test for assessment of the students.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum exam ready for students of mechanical engineering it focuses on industrial level exposure and for other competitive exams like gate and IES with good faculty who teaches almost all concepts. There are labs for each subject in which we get real world application knowledge. Also course is updated regularly as per the requirement of industry . The course can we improved by making course more practical rather than a writing all things on practical it should include project for students. Frequency of exam is that in every 15 days there is a exam with moderate to difficult level.

Students from semester 3 are eligible to sit for campus placement. There are even some companies which ask for fresher where student of any semester can apply. The specialised course like CA CS MBA has more placement opportunities. Many companies visits like GARNIER, TCS, GOVERMENT COMPANY _JHALSA. recently around 20 Students are selected in TCS with pacakage of INR 3Lakhs . There is no percentage requirements. Every particular can sit for campus placements. It depends on their skill and ability to impress the interviewers so that they can be placed.
