- Classrooms are not spacious enough for students
- Laboratory are not maintained properly so it can be improved
- Cultural fest is conducted but the hall room is not so large for all the students
Course Curriculum Overview
The overall course is great in my opinion. It helps in understanding the chemistry subject well. There is also a programming language called Fortran that we were supposed to learn which helps in numerical or computational aspects of chemistry. Having programming knowledge also gives boost in the current world.
Fees and Financial Aid
It is a course of 3 years and each year fees are about 7000 to 8000 in total without including hostel and other external fees. One can also apply for an SVMCM scholarship which can bring about 18000 per year if the student can maintain 60% overall. There are no campus employment opportunities.
Campus Life
The library is significantly large in size and it consists of the sufficient number of books for the students. There are sports like cricket, football etc where students from various departments can participate. These games are conducted from time to time. Cultural fests are conducted each year and it is full of fun.
Admission
To get admission into this course the student has to complete his 12th standard in science stream. The application form has to be filled out within the deadline and it costs about Rs. 500. If the student is eligible for his 12th standard marks and it clears the cut-off then he will get the opportunity to get admission here.
Faculty
There are enough faculty members for the students present. Faculty members are well qualified to teach at high level. Faculty also provides help in doing research papers as well. For students who have backlogs , faculty specifically conducts classes for them.
